Not too bad for this early in the season. The radishes and lettuce were quite nice and the young kale and spinach are nice sized, the herbs from the hot house were huge:joyfull: We're still waiting on strawberries they are late due to all the rain this spring.

That sounds good.

So I'm intrigued about "young" kale. (Not that I eat kale), but I thought kale was kale. Is there an AARP version as well?

I went to one game of my niece's softball tournament today. Her team is really good and might end up winning. But I can only handle 1 of the games. The game was going along fine and then there was an accident on 1st base. A girl from the opposing team rant into a girl at first base, she was out but as she hit the girls hit hard and the girl that had batted ended up flipping twice in the air and landing hard on the ground! They called an ambulance for her which took forever to come (it was in a rural town so a volunteer ambulance/fire dept.), and they figure the girl probably broke her collarbone. I felt really bad for the girl, but thankful it wasn't m niece. I am also surprised that I actually saw it, I tend to zone out at baseball/softball games. But I was actually watching my niece pitch and it happened off of one of those pitches.
The worst one I ever witnessed was at my daughters soft ball game, but, it wasn't anyone in the game. Right next to the field was a playground of sorts and a young girl was at the top of a very crowded slide. The kid behind her, hopefully accidentally, bumped her and she fell off the slide to the ground. She got up and held her arm out in pain and ran toward her parents. She was holding her arm straight out and it was in a 90 degree angle about 3 or 4 inches in front of her elbow. It hung straight down completely flaccid. I cringe just thinking about it. We lived in a relatively remote town at the time so they loaded her into the car and took her to the hospital an easy 8 miles away. She did get her arm fixed, but, there must have been a lot of hardware inside there to hold it together. I felt so sorry for her.

Well, I made it through the recital. DD did great, and I will miss her as Alice. The competition team for the studio was amazing. They have one boy who trains at the studio, but goes at least once a month to Miami or LA for master classes, and it shows. Now, she gets a few weeks off, and then summer dance starts to prep for next dance year.
