It's my best friend's birthday today, and while she is living in Australia (for another couple of weeks), I decided to celebrate with some mocktails!

Cuban split on the left: Watermelon syrup, vanilla syrup, orange juice, and fresh squeezed lime juice. San-sangria on the right: Grape juice, monin sangria mix syrup, fanta orange, and sparkling water, with cirtus fruit slices.

Had to go to lowe's to get a vacuum belt ..... wrapping presents for a baby shower tomorrow... so I had to run to the dollar store for a bag for wrapping.... whew... I need a nap but I have to finish laundry and go grocery shopping!

I never get put under. I watch it on their TV. It fascinates me. It doesn't hurt, just a little pressure. I watch them find and cut them out. Then they give me color pictures of them. I've always wanted to use one for the picture on my Christmas cards. Photo shopped to include internal Christmas decorations. My daughters wouldn't let me. The older I get the more picky about my behavior they get. A few years back I had ten of them. All benign, but, it makes for a lovely photo collection. Perhaps it would make a good coffee table book. I could entitle it "How I Learned To Stop Worrying and Love My Colon!" New York Times Best Seller.

As I’ve posted before, I didn't go down during the first procedure. I was still conscious and quite awake when the doc was about to start the procedure, even though they gave me the whole dose. The doc said he might as well turn the monitor around then so I could see what he was doin’. And yes, it was quite interesting to watch, actually. No discomfort whatsoever, and absolutely no polyps that time, and he told me to come back in 10 years. When I reminded him my grandfather died of colorectal cancer he said to make it 5 years.
For the second procedure I inquired about the anesthesia and was told they had new and better stuff...indeed they did, as I was comepletely zonked for that one...!!!!! :hilarious:

I went to one game of my niece's softball tournament today. Her team is really good and might end up winning. But I can only handle 1 of the games. The game was going along fine and then there was an accident on 1st base. A girl from the opposing team rant into a girl at first base, she was out but as she hit the girls hit hard and the girl that had batted ended up flipping twice in the air and landing hard on the ground! They called an ambulance for her which took forever to come (it was in a rural town so a volunteer ambulance/fire dept.), and they figure the girl probably broke her collarbone. I felt really bad for the girl, but thankful it wasn't m niece. I am also surprised that I actually saw it, I tend to zone out at baseball/softball games. But I was actually watching my niece pitch and it happened off of one of those pitches.

Oh no! The poor girl! That must be extremely painful. I wonder how they treat that because you can't really put a cast on the collarbone.

Ha! I was zonked, too! :p (Actually, all three times I've had that test. No way I want to watch it on a monitor!)
