At the same time that it is becoming harder to get a job without a college diploma, many jobs are becoming automated for cost purposes. You have heard of the robot phlebotomist? In Japan if you want blood drawn a robot will do it. You stick your arm in a machine, it scans for veins, and then basically sticks you. A phlebotomist I know says she is glad she is nearing retirement because she thinks her job would get replaced by this. A company in the US she said is already purchasing it.

That is so cool!! Last time I got an IV they used a really neat light to see the veins. It lit them up very clearly.

Checking for opening times in this instance is the same as breathing. (If only they had checked to find out of Wally World was closed it would have saved the Griswold family a lot of grief) As far as comparing to a trip to Paris, I don't see a comparison at all. Disney World really is a glorified amusement park with identifiable boundaries and multitudes of people to help guide you around as part of the package deal. If someone is going to stay on property, why wouldn't they assume that there were always be a restaurant or establishment that is going to allow them access, even if there is a wait. Why wouldn't they think that all attractions will be accessible even if there is a wait. There is no real lack of advertising that makes it seem like it is the closest thing to perfection possible. You wonder around and characters approach you, there are all kinds of restaurants why would you need to worry about getting in especially when you consider that because of a promotion that allows you to be basically landlocked with the Magic Express offer.

I went to Europe three years ago and there was massive amounts of planning required. It was a given, even though I am notoriously a person that wings just about all of my adventures. I would still be lost somewhere in Rome if there hadn't been careful planning and research, but, it is not the same thing. I wasn't paying one individual organization thousands of dollars to make sure that I was going to have a flawless experience and they were going to make sure that happened. That is the message that Disney promotes and implies.

They really should have a 24 hour restaurant or two.

Chances are if everything is closed at SOG you'll have to take a bus to Poly any way, that's about when direct service ends for the most part

The bar at SOG makes those amazing french fries pretty late at night. I'm definitely planning on picking some up before bedtime so I can enjoy them on the patio while A goes to sleep. I have no idea when they officially close though

Very interesting, considering in the past wars they did shell the crap out of Paris with their super long railguns.

From Wiki...

"As military weapons, the Paris Guns were not a great success: the payload was small, the barrel required frequent replacement, and the guns' accuracy was good enough for only city-sized targets. The German objective was to build a psychological weapon to attack the morale of the Parisians, not to destroy the city itself."

And, they were only used during a short period of WWI.

Happy Birthday to your mom! On tax day. Yikes! ;)
Bet she brightens everyone’s day at Church!

Hahaaa...!!!!! :hilarious:
Yep, there's no way I can forget moms birthday being on Tax Day, nor pops being on New Years Day...!!! ;) :)

Thanks!!! :)
She certainly seems to, as many comment on her and her cute outfit before and after mass!
SonIL always sits at the end of the pew in case he needs to take Emy out for a bit (which has actually been very rare), and on the end of the adjacent pew yesterday was a family with a toddler boy that was obviously just learning to walk.
They had a silly thing goin' on back and forth for a bit towards the end of the service that was pretty cute...!!!!! :hilarious: :)

I never said they were "accurate". ;)There is a map of the shell approximately location from all the railbased guns.
And the Paris gun was an example. The city still had damage, including one that hit a church.
