Oh Happy Birthday to Mr. Boomer!!! I called down to the Grand Floridian today to see if they could bake him a special birthday cake, and they did. So after the show at AK tonight, hop into a Minnie Van and head over to the Grand, to Victoria and Albert's -- his cake and champagne await his arrival!!

We spent his steak money and then some (over $450.) at the vet the other day. Needed his 3-year rabies shot, other shots, exam, nails clipped, blood tests, medicine refills, etc.

@dryerlintfan I’m forwarding a question to you on behalf of my DD. She is making seed and dried fruit pieces in snack packs bags that are about 2 x 4 inch. She only has found shelled pumpkin and sunflower seeds. She is wondering if there other snacking seeds out there and if there is where you buy the seeds for your DD.

Well I had an interesting day... I got to go to Jury Duty in the little suburb I live in. I didn't get picked in the first 8, then they ended up kicking 3 off one at a time... finally the last kick off, my name got pulled. But I ended up as an alternate, so I don't have to go unless they call me.

That was pretty common when I was growing up. They don't take up much room and they will hold a surprising amount of things. I have one myself with an assortment of small items that I have found worthy of keeping. I think it was a bad idea to bring up this thing because It tempted me to look in that cardboard White Owl cigar box and now I am happy and sad all at the same time. I didn't really remember what I had thrust into that box, but, it was emotionally terrible. I had kept cards. One from my wife when things were good, a few from my daughters with handwritten notes expressing their love for me (mostly given just after the divorce) and now I have tears running out of my eyes and dripping on my old man reading glasses.

I even found a picture of someone that I don't remember at all from basic training. I think that I thought it was me when I was young, but, as I looked closer, I honestly have no recollection of who the guy was or why I even had a picture of him. I'm serious. I do not have a clue who it was so it has left the cigar box and found the trash. On the good side I remembered some programs from my grandchildren. One when he made Eagle Scout and my other grandson when he was inducted into the National Honor Society. Those are joining the box.

Yes lots and lots! Next trip may have to be in May not April.

Go the first or second week of May. We are going the week before Memorial Day. I would have loved to go the week before, but we couldn’t.

Hey y'all, just wanted to jump in really quick to let you know that I AM FINALLY DIVORCED!!!!! I hope all of you are doing well and I will provide more details as soon as I can. But basically he finally agreed to a reasonable one-time payment plus spousal/child support settlement. It has been almost 4 years people! And tomorrow is actually his birthday, go figure. I definitely plan to throw a party, so if any of you are out here in Los Angeles then, you are totally invited! Love you all!!!
