I decided to cancel my WiFi, it will save me about $400 a year. I really want to keep my outgoings to minimum but I'm slightly nervous how I'll do without WiFi at home. I have a lot of time at work to use the WiFi and I bring my tablet most days so I can download from Netflix if I want to watch something in the evening.
Brave decision. We dumped Sky tv last year and went to freesat. Now we are only paying £7.99 a month for Netflix instead of £80ish a month for Sky.

Our cell phone company provides an unlimited data plan. Therefore it doesn't matter if we use wifi or not with our cell phones. Do you get your tablet service from your cell phone company, or does it not have a phone number connected with it? Our home internet service is really expensive. We pay for very high speed data and we have multiple devices going on at the same time due to kids doing schoolwork on the computers.

I have a pre paid phone with 2GB data at the moment for £7.50 a month. My tablet only has WiFi so I won't be able to access the internet on it at home. I spend at least 60 hours a week at work and there are lots of spots near me with free WiFi if I want to use my tablet on the weekend, so I'm hoping I'll be okay without it at home.

Compared to what you pay it does. I am wondering though if Brick,NJ is larger square mile wise than Guernsey.

Had to check and Brick is 32 square miles, whereas Guernsey is 25 square miles. ;)
Well, between the cost of gas and the fact that it's heavily taxed in Europe, I'd assume it would be more expensive. It's to get consumers on that side of the pond to switch to fuel efficient vehicles in the long term.

For us it's cheaper to use the house internet than upgrade the cell phones to unlimited

It's about £38 to fill up Jarvis once a fortnight.
I had to have Google convert that for me... yikes. My old SUV's gas bill was lower than that, and it had terrible fuel economy.

I think everyone has a pet peeves expense wise, something that they hate paying too much for. For my dad, it's the phone bill. For me, it's gas. Hence why I drive a fuel efficient vehicle.

I wonder if it is that cheap because TX is an oil producing state. Or it could be that the gas taxes are much cheaper. I believe PA gas tax is close to 40 cents gallon. I know NJ just raised gas taxes because my sil complained about it.

I Just found this on the interwebs...a few years old, but...?! :cyclops:

Adding in the federal tax, Texans pay 38.4 cents in taxes for every gallon of gasoline they buy, and 44.4 cents per gallon for diesel. Pennsylvanians, by contrast, paid roughly twice as much in 2015, at 70 cents and 89.7 cents per gallon, respectively.

I have a Visa card linked with my Costco membership that gives 3% points on all gasoline, not just theirs. Even so, there is:1) no news about unrest effecting oil production. 2)No hurricanes or natural disasters have knocked out anything relating to the gasoline industry. So...I guess it is just world supply and demand that allows the prices to keep climbing.
2 months ago if I remember correctly.. the OPEC was in a fight about limiting the output again to raise prices.. while others objected. I think thats why Kuwait left.

Only 65. That's cute. At 51 today, I will probably be sweating. And I am ok with that! Warmer tomorrow, but the rain starts up.

Currently 70 here, with a predicted high of 79.
Although, we had heavy fog with light drizzle this mornin', and it's still overcast and a bit breezy.

But, at least it's not this... :cautious::cyclops:
