Lol no, I wish!. He went straight to baseball, which on a positive note, would have arrived late due to volleyball.

GK was at 5, Volleyball 6, Baseball 6:30. All in different locations within the Greater Cincy area šŸ˜‚šŸ¤Ŗ

Tomorrow is soccer training (seperate from his club) from 5-6:30. Baseball is 30 minutes away from 6:30-7:45. Heā€™s doing his whole training session, and then heā€™ll change in the car again on our way to baseball. (That practice is with his own schoolā€™s team, the one weā€™re not on due to my negligence). I did this to us.

That second emoji is an accurate portrayal of me right now.
At least he is getting all these activities in! These are great things that can affect his future in a positive way!

You really are correct, I have to keep telling myself that. Thereā€™s really only a few years where he can be involved in this much, and they go by so quickly. I need to enjoy the madness. but... I probably should have considered driving all of these miles before purchasing a jeep wrangler.šŸ˜‚ At that point though, I didnā€™t realize the baseball registration fail. šŸ¤£šŸ¤£

Just waiting for touring plans to update... it's got to be hard for them.. because there is no scale in which to compare this to. And with SW only partially opening, I have to wonder how many will wait for the entire land to open before coming.

I saw TP updated the crowd calendar that HS was a 10 through Saturday the 31 August, then some 9s and falling except for weekends being better towards the end of my trip. So maybe the HS may ease up but it doesn't mean the SW land will. The other parks look excellent 1-4's but it is quite possible he hasn't updated his thoughts on the other 3 parks yet, that is a lot of statistics to re-crunch.

I also follow Kenny the Pirate and he numbers are really dang good. His are not updated yet. He prides himself on never altering once he posts them up. His followers have asked him to please revise them for this since it was totally unexpected to him and those attending. It seems he will. Since he is local he tends to have a more hands on gut feel. TP has all the statistical data for a very long time...'till this. About all they have to go by with their numbers is Pandora but that land opened as a unit not piece meal. Blurg. I can't begin to understand how analysis for SW piece meal. Even when Disney opened Circus and it grew huge crowds by after noon with a surprise soft opening it was a mad house at the TTC. SW is different because people from all over if they choose have the opportunity to be at WDW unlike a Soft.

Me I'm hoping it will be divided by the SW fans that want to see a single attraction by those who put it off until the entire land opens. But none of the Florida resident passes are blocked out for end of August-September so now add that into the equation. Select is a Monday-Friday thing but blocked for balance of year. That is the least popular Florida pass and they can upgrade to a Silver for a few dollars, prices almost the same. Bet Disney wishes they could have a re-do on the calendars for those.

We've had really good luck with the purchase with purchase backpacks from Disney, they've lasted at least as long as Jansports:joyfull:

I have my college Jansport. So the 80s till now. Washes nicely even with its suede bottom. The padding in the shoulders is better than any other Jansport I've owned over the decades. It made it through the Disney parks 8 years that we rented strollers, I used it as a make shift diaper/change of clothes bag. I've bought 2 over the last year that are Disney themed when the discontinued ones we lot dump'd at ROSS.

The rougher neighborhood comment made me giggle... do you get off the plane and walk around cicero?? Midway airport blows my mind... when I worked for Midway 1 (here in GR) when I would go to MDW, the poor airport was so old! When I worked there (for Midway Airlines 2) it looked only a little different with Southwest taking over some of the Midway gates.... Now I don't even recognize it... they sure have spiffed it up!

Midway is nice inside. But yes we do have to go outside and do the local streets a good ways before we can get on 290. Flying out we are in a car at 3am and home after midnight. What you see out in the streets and coming to windows asking for handouts at that hour is not in my comfort range. I've never been through Midway in daylight hours. Ohare is very different. While legally Chicago it doesn't come close to touching Chicago proper. It is nestled in by 2 counties, DuPage and Cook. I am as comfortable driving to Ohare at all hours of the morning and night as I was when I worked for United right out of college. My Mom is 2 towns over, I drive it all the time. I can't say I want to do that around Midway, so not my comfort level.

My Mom just got a phone and discovered texting :banghead::banghead: She texts me all the time now. Sheā€™s 76.

My folks (mom will be 80 on April 15th, and pop turned 86 on Jan. 1st) have Androids.
They can both text, although they rarely do, and pop uses his for internet and email.
They also have an office at home with a desktop, and they have a laptop. This time of year pop also has 2 loaner laptops for volunteering to help other elderly folks with their taxes...! :)

I think Michigan is slowly changing to an august start... we've always been a state that started after Labor day, but I think that's finally changing... and I don't know how I feel about it.

For us going back in August became legally necessary if the high schools were going to have finals prior to Christmas break. #Days per Semester requirement. We in this area went to the Collegiate schedule so students could take finals before Christmas and be done with the semester vs going back a week after 2 weeks off and then finals that week after. Seemed very disjointed when I was young and still did. My DS did 2 years the old way and 2 years the Collegiate way. Bonus they were out before Memorial Day vs a week into June.

My son started his college education up in Wisconsin (hated that college) but they could not start until the day after Labor Day but move in was Labor Day weekend. Not fun for us. He eventually transfered to Illinois, he was so much happier/better fit. They started mid-
August.

Bean's is the best -- all their merchandise is quality. Been a Bean's customer for many years. You get what you pay for with them. :)
I carried the same LL Bean Backpack from middle school through high school. The only reason I got rid of it was that I needed something different for college (my current one has more padding for electronic devices). It was in such good condition that we were able to donate it.

Let me just say that it is a terrible idea, especially when you live in a colder state. The kids don't get to enjoy the warmer weather long enough. They should start right after Labor Day. Our kids in public school get out the end of May or first week of June. The problem is is that the weather is still cool. The pools around here that offer swim lessons are not even heated. Sorry but my kids are not going to jump in a pool in the morning when the temperature is still in the 60's and the pool water is in the 50's. I am wondering if the push to start earlier is a way to start year round schooling. That may be something @ajrwdwgirl may have a clue about.
Our schools were legally mandated to go until June 15 and then went back after Labor Day. Then politics happened and that's no longer a rule (though my guess is it will probably end up being a general vote). Our county is still starting after Labor Day. That's the way most people seem to want it here. Our state has its tourism primarily in the summer (especially Ocean City) and for economic reasons, it's better to have the long summer.

thats the funny thing of having 3 very cheap airliners in my country.

Each of these 3 have things the others do not have for free and so on.

Some are VERY spacious in the rooms, but baggages are not included. Others have baggage included, but you have to pay for food and drinks on board, as well for printing your ticket..

but yeah.. since United merged with Continental.. their service have been the worst.
I'm not really a fan of United, but it's either fly them and go or it's not go because Delta (my preferred) is $400 more.

They just had it the best this time. I can get on the plane and be on it and land in Hawaii at 1:00 pm local time, and then have most of my day, and then coming back, I end up in Denver (which really is not a bad airport) and then back to Baltimore.

Plus, the 10 hour flight means the huge international jet, which means more room.

Southwest is usually preferred because they do two free checked bags, free drinks, and free snacks (they don't serve meals). You don't end up with hidden fees unless you do something stupid, like pack your suitcase above 30 pounds.

The airline I absolutely refuse to fly and wouldn't even look at was American.

Figured you must have been busy this weekend, when there was no photo of Emy's church outfit! ;) Our church had lower attendance due to time change, and also due to the snow/sleet storm we had. (I don't drive in that stuff, but I did walk and it was really nice--hardly anyone out yesterday morning, so really peaceful.) :)

I knew I forgot somethinā€™ before signinā€™ off for the night...!!! šŸ¤¦;)

Yep, we went to the 5p Sat. mass, and Father had a funny comment in his homily about the time change and masses the next morninā€™! :)

They were callinā€™ it her ā€œThe 80ā€™s Rockedā€ outfit...if you look close at the little bit of diaper just under SonILs left wrist, the diaper also has little skulls with crossbones on it...!!!!!!! :hilarious::inlove::happy::hilarious::)
