That looks really good.
That looks really good.
I bet you can get Pennsylvania's version of Belgium waffles at I-Hop. Maybe?Going back almost 25 years, so I cannot remember. I do remember there being some really cool candy stores though. We went to a city called Brugge. It was really pretty.
I actually really love my own homemade ones. Cheaper too.I bet you can get Pennsylvania's version of Belgium waffles at I-Hop. Maybe?
I'm so sorry. Maybe she wanted it that way? I remember Hospice telling us what to expect when my mom was at the end. She had gone into a coma, but they told us she could still hear us and knew we were there, and that some people hang on because they think that's what the family wants, and others wait until everyone is gone so they don't have to witness it. My mom waited until we were all there and told her it was ok if she needed to go. As soon as I said that, she took her last breath. So maybe your grandma just....didn't want you to have to witness it and she chose her moment? I'm sure she knew how much you loved her, even if you didn't get to tell her one last time. I hope you are able to get some rest....you've been through the ringer this week.its 1:00 am and it was.. an eventful day.
Just to make it short.. grandmah left us.
Kinda ironic considering all the things we did to meet her before she went and we couldnt see her.
We packed midnight of yesterday, we took a somewhat early bus, we arrived, had early lunch before we didnt had breakfast. mom was completely destroyed after being awake for 3 days taking care for my gran nonstop.
She went to sleep, while we were on the car, we got called that she passed out... mere blocks away from arriving.
Anyway, she was sent to the funeral home, we did the classic prayer and sigil, some of her daughrners will stay in the sigil for the full night then tomorrow will be the mass in a church.
Now im exhausted and going to bed.. will probably return home tomorrow late night or on tuesday.
I have been to Washington, Idaho, Oregon, California (though I don't remember it...I was only 1), Arizona, Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Ohio, Tennessee, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Maryland, Georgia, Florida...those are the ones I remember anyway.Hmm, you have me beat internationally.
My out of country places include:
Indonesia, England, The Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, Bermuda, Bahamas, Belize, Canada, and Mexico
Oh yeah.....I forgot Nevada and Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania is a very long state....with a LOT of trucks! I don't feel the need to go back there.Ok, now I forgot I have been to Nevada.

MD, NY, PA, UT, VA, DE, NC, SC, GA, FL, NM, AZ, MI, HI, CA, CO...16. Of course, a few of those were just stops along the way going from California or Hawaii. For fun, let me try to build a list of where I HAVE been:
NJ, NY, PA, CT, RI,MA, NH, DE, MD, VA, West VA, NC, SC, GA, AL, FL, CA, AZ
..............18 states. I feel blessed to have seen that many....yet....
I bet many of you can top that list?!
Well if you end up with a spare ...That may be a possibility.
Even "stops along the way" count. 16 states for an adult not yet 30 years old is quite a lot!MD, NY, PA, UT, VA, DE, NC, SC, GA, FL, NM, AZ, MI, HI, CA, CO...16. Of course, a few of those were just stops along the way going from California or Hawaii.
"only" lolWow! I have only been to Canada, Mexico, Bahamas, UK, Portugal, France, Monaco, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Netherlands, Italy, Greece, and Israel. Helped that mom was a travel agent. Nice discounts in the 80’s/early 90’s.
Dont think so because there were 2 other daughters of her near her at the moment.I'm so sorry. Maybe she wanted it that way? I remember Hospice telling us what to expect when my mom was at the end. She had gone into a coma, but they told us she could still hear us and knew we were there, and that some people hang on because they think that's what the family wants, and others wait until everyone is gone so they don't have to witness it. snuggling is productive! :O
That would be true and could almost be compared to how many US States Europeans have been able to go too. Mostly, I have traveled in Europe to Great Britain, France(2), Italy(2), Spain(2), Iceland and Portugal. Going the other direction or close to home.. Canada, The Bahama's, Guam, South Vietnam and Japan.I think anyone living in Europe is going to have a more lengthy list than those of us who live in North America. That IS quite an impressive list @RedNoseMickey !
