That would be true and could almost be compared to how many US States Europeans have been able to go too. Mostly, I have traveled in Europe to Great Britain, France, Italy, Spain, Iceland and Portugal. Going the other direction or close to home.. Canada, The Bahama's, Guam, South Vietnam and Japan.
Were you in any of your list's international locations as a member of the armed forces or are all on your list tourism related?

Oops. I forgot Alaska. In my mind I pictured the US's lower 48 and mentally went across the map as I sat in my comfy chair posting on my laptop.
Poor Alaska has Canada in the way and I overlooked her!
So that puts my already been to states at 19.
I'm not counting airport layover states. I've had layovers in Michigan and Colorado but I never left the airport and saw the state so I don't think they should count. ;)

33 one states for me, and Washington DC. Easier to count the ones I haven't been to!

States I have not been to: Alaska, North Dakota, Virginia, Maine, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Vermont, Massachusetts, West Virginia, Oregon, Washington (had a flight layover & saw Mt. Ranier from the window), Rhode Island, Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Kansas, & Oklahoma

My internationals: Mexico, Bahamas, Jamaica, UK, France, Iceland

Hi friend!
You've been to Washington DC, but not Maryland? Maryland gives D.C a hug geographically. I suppose you could approach from VA and when done return to VA the way you came :)

We flew into Reagan Intl, I don't know if that is technically in either VA or MD. We took the train from the airport into the city center. So if it was VA or MD I figured it fit the airport definition of not really "seeing" the state. And we didn't leave D.C. except to take the train back to the airport.

😨

But, but...everyone must at some point experience a steamed crab feast, preferably in Annapolis.

That is technically VA. The only airport serving DC in Maryland is BWI.

Even though it's not even near DC... 🙄

You've been to my neighboring states (PA & NY) but not NJ. Oh well ....we do not have a major city like Manhattan or Philadelphia. Did you like Ireland?
