Here's a cute story. We know a couple that got married a few years ago. They met on a plane! For close to a year after that first introduction on the same flight, they dated. But, here's the kicker: he lived in MA, and she lived in California! Twice a month, he'd fly out to CA, and twice a month she'd fly out to Boston. Considering the cost and effort involved, and they were crazy about each other, he proposed to her; and now they live together in MA. Sometimes, relationships take a bit of extra effort, but the payoff is worth it in the end!

I love it when it works out. My DS was dating a girl he really loved, met and spent a year with down in the Disney College Program. They both returned to their colleges, his here in Illinois, her in Buffalo to finish their degrees and the distance, school work and of course the expense pretty much ended it.

A couple of summers ago the whole gang of Disney friends came out to Chicago from all over the country for a 4th of July weekend. I was a shuttle from Ohare to here, the meeting point and they stayed with me a few days and then they all stayed downtown Chicago for a few more. It was great to see the whole group pick up where they left off. I know he was happy to see the girl one more time.

Yah, I think that's harder to keep a distance relationship like that going, when both people are still in school. In the case of the couple we know, they were both well into their 30s, both had jobs, etc. I think they were more settled, because they were older, but that's just my opinion.

I'll bet there's plenty of women who would enjoy your company. You always have interesting points to share in many different conversations here.

Have you tried a more relaxed approach with a woman that you might be interested in? Sometimes, it's easier to ask someone if they'd just like to meet for a cup of coffee some day. That takes a little pressure off both sides, and you can decide after that, if you want to ask her out on an actual date. (In my own situation, my hubby had to ask me three separate times, on different days, if I'd just go have a cup of coffee with him in a "public" place--ha! He knew I was very guarded, but he didn't give up. Finally, I caved. I figured he was either nuts or he just really liked me. So, I said, "O.k. I'll meet you for ONE cup of coffee." His patience paid off--we've been married for 20 years! And . . . all it took was a cup of coffee at Dunkin Donuts one lovely afternoon . . .) :)

Love that story. :inlove:

Yea, but she ended up having to living in MA. That doesn't seem fair to me. It better be true love!

Oh no, of course not. Jack would hate that, too. Walt and Jack need to feed their delusions, that they are the most important living creatures in our lives!! :p

So true of Walt too. Walt believes every single person that comes through the door or he passes on a walk is for him.
He genuinely believes all humans on earth are there for him.

My ice skating coach went to Florida over spring break with the softball team for spring training. We asked her today if she went to Disney. "The team did; I didn't. I've been to WDW and DL; I didn't need to go again."

To which I was like :jawdrop:.

And then another girl says, "Yeah, you can only go so many times before you get sick of it."

Then I was like . And then, "Um, no."

"Yeah, you'll get sick of it if you go too much."

Then I told them how many times I've been. "Why?" they asked. Because I want to.

They sure do seem to be in love. And she made a smart move to the East Coast. It's too hot out in California!

Depends on the part of CA, but LA and Anaheim run in the 70s and 80s in the summer with no humidity, dropping into the 60s and 70s, sometimes lower, at night. Pure perfection.

Palm Springs is regularly 100. That's a bit warm:p
