(Need to paint that medallion white again. My painter thought it should be green, like the accent wall - that would make it "pop". Yeah, it pops alright, like a big old forehead zit!)

Interesting how it abruptly stops. It looked pretty with the lamp lighting in the pictures before...I'd either fall in love with it or hate it. I've never seen anything like that before. My Uncle was a plaster dude and they did do some great art work in the walls and ceiling but nothing along those lines that I ever saw. Are homes in your neighborhood similar? That is an amazing mark in history up on those ceilings.

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.

You haven't got to my later posts yet, but yes, my entire neighbourhood dates from the same time period, and most that I have seen also have the swirly hand-plastered ceilings in the LR/DR.
And you would probably neither love it nor hate it, as you would not even notice them until someone pointed them out in an online photo.

These might be the reason I can't get any of these kids to move out:

Grocery store bakery donuts are every bit as good as donut store donuts; but twice the size and half the price.

Oh my goodness. :hungry: If I lived at your house I'd never fit in my shorts. :(

Choices, shorts or yummy pastry???
Painful decisions.

Oh, I think I'd notice ceilings like that! ;) I'm not the most observant person out there, but I've never seen anything like those ceilings, so in my case, yes, I would notice. (I can't speak for Gabe, but if there is something very unique and I have no frame of reference for it, I do take notice.)

Every kettle has a lid, Eric. Don't rush it; it will happen when it is supposed to.
My SO and I didn't meet until we were both in our fifties. We lived 300 miles apart and started dating! For almost 4 years we saw each other EVERY week-end and holiday...I drove to him or he drove to me. Finally he moved to my town...that was nearly 15 years ago. It was worth every minute of driving :joyfull:

Love that story.:inlove: Normally the lids wear out in those distant relationships. 300 miles, Oy.

Here's a cute story. We know a couple that got married a few years ago. They met on a plane! For close to a year after that first introduction on the same flight, they dated. But, here's the kicker: he lived in MA, and she lived in California! Twice a month, he'd fly out to CA, and twice a month she'd fly out to Boston. Considering the cost and effort involved, and they were crazy about each other, he proposed to her; and now they live together in MA. Sometimes, relationships take a bit of extra effort, but the payoff is worth it in the end!

May I have one of the other donuts? Will your boys share one out of the box with me? I'll bring my own glass of milk, so it's just the donut only.

Those Long Johns were calling my name. So I drank a cup of soup. Quickly.

Nobody is coming home for dinner. Dangerous time around the fridge for me. I hear ice cream screaming for me to let it out the freezer.

My DD doesn't normally work job #2 on Monday nights but a manager is out of town so she went in to cover her shift. Then I get a text it will be a long while....They have their Causality Undercover Audit happening right now. Some person from Risk Management pays to come into the facility and secretly films and audits the manager and their staff while they are working while pretending they are a patron. Next up is skills where they do live action drill saves and full blown spinals and CPR AED scenarios. Her boss has to be thrilled she was there as she is a certified licensed CPR AED and lifeguard trainer.
