The Chit Chat Chit Chat Thread

Yup, same here. A few years ago, there was a blizzard that delayed my trip home. It was cold down there. I texted my one friend a picture of us in sweaters. This friend, who is basically a real life Snow White personality wise, texts back, "Shut up, Missy." :hilarious:
I remember one of the years I went down there they had sprayed water on all the citrus trees and fruit. I have no idea how coating fruit with ice keeps it from being damaged by frost. But, it does and that is all I need to know.

Morning.... planning on making the trek into work today. I'll ask the boss for a WAH day again tomorrow...

I actually don't love to work at home. Since my husband is disabled, he's here while I'm trying to work, and frequently tries to chit chat with me. That's fine on days I don't really have a bunch to do, but not so fine when I actually do!

Awww . . . he's happy with your company. It's a novelty to have you home on a regular work day, and this is fun for him. :)

I heard that too. I think cars have issues starting when it gets to 15 below or less.

Don't know much about cars except they're usually a pain in the neck. But having lived in a colder climate all my life, I can say that more things tend to go wrong in bitter cold temperatures. For example, AAA gets hammered with service calls from people stranded in parking lots, etc., with cars that won't start.

@ajrwdwgirl -- I tried to quote your message below, but it cut off your tag --

B's car started up fine this morning and it is left outside (because we only have a 1 car garage). I am a little worried about my car though even though it is in the garage because the battery is older and I suspect the battery is going.[/QUOTE]

My response --
I don't think anyone would fault you if you bought a new battery--especially with the winter you're having out there. ;) If it was in the summer and you were hesitant about the battery, it would be an inconvenience if the car didn't start. In winter record-breaking cold temps, you might not want to take a chance. Batteries don't last forever. Just my two cents.

For the life of me.....I can't get over the price of the new Disney tour.....(I just found out about it).
There is a market for it because there are people willing to pay lots of money for a tour guide and go on tours.

I'm giving you a prime example people willing to spend lots of money on tour guides. I heard from one of my aunts a couple weeks ago that one the people they know told her that they are going to "do WDW Right". That person's meaning of doing "WDW right" is getting a tour guide for all the days at WDW theme parks according to the aunt.
