Snow day , today! Got the first call at 10:05 last night, before the first flake even flew. When it is done, we probably will have 6 inches. But, the temps will go up today, changing snow to freezing rain. And the comes the crazy temp drop. Not sure if we will have school tomorrow but for sure it won't open Wednesday. Thursday is questionable, too. Welcome to Chiberia!

It's a good idea to consider it, but remember when it comes to choosing where you go, you each need to decide for yourselves as individuals. There are so many things to factor in and you don't want to end up resenting the each other for what you gave up. For example, one person might be able to get a better scholarship at a different school....or might be torn between 2 different programs and one of the schools doesn't offer the other option. Those are huge things to consider and you don't want the other to have to give up one career choice so that they can go to the same school, or choose an inferior program for the same reason. If it all works out best for each of you, great, but try not to plan it to the point that either of you feel obligated to go along with something that doesn't actually work for you. I thought for sure I was going to marry my boyfriend....we talked about marriage and everything. (It was also a long distance relationship) I was so excited to hear that he was going to the same school I was so we would FINALLY be in the same place and we'd be able to see each other and go on dates. And then we broke up right after graduation and it ended up being really awkward because we were both music majors and had all our classes together and had to see each other every day. If I had chosen my school just based on the fact that he was going to go there, I would have been so upset and it could have affected my entire future for something that didn't pan out. So do what's right for YOU, and make sure she does the same. If you love each other, you will be motivated to work it out, no matter where you are.
I’m planing to be closer

Working from home.... I made the trek into work, and when I got there, it was a ghost town. Even my boss was at home. So boss lady said, why don't you head home and work from there. 8-12 inches of snow forecasted now for today... and it looks like that could be true.

It's been a year or two since I worked from home. Feeling discombobulated!

I see shoveling in my future later today.

We got our shoveling done too. It is still snowing here but super light. So the next shovel will be just clean up. Hubs actually did the heavy duty shoveling with the driveway. He said he was waist deep in snow at the end of the driveway where the plow had come by and pushed all the snow. I shoveled the by the back door and a path and area out back for the dog. When I let her out she was up to her neck in snow. Good thing it is mostly light and fluffy snow. I am not looking forward to the -50 windchills coming up. I haven't heard anything definitive from our district about calling off school for it.

Would you know where to meet us, if @ajrwdwgirl and I told you to meet us at the bubbler?

I love regional language. I think it's from moving so much as a kid.

I know what a bubbler is but I have never heard or used that term in real-life. I have seen stuff that says Wisconsin people say that but not on my side of the state. Must be a east-southeast side of the state thing. I guess I'm too close to Minnesota that I have mostly mostly their accent and terms, dontchya ya know. Ya you bet! ;)

:hilarious:Tell her it's ok to want Taylor's boots, but not her lipstick. Tell her to get her own lipstick. We don't share lipstick. :hilarious:
Did she really say Taylor SMITH? :hilarious::hilarious::hilarious: omg she's so funny! Well, when I was in elementary school, I wanted to be just like Tiffany. I loved her songs, I loved her clothes, and she was dating Jonathan from NKOTB. (I actually would have chosen Jordan over Jonathan, but I would have taken either) She'll move onto something else eventually.

I'm building her a stage in her play area for her birthday. Complete with a microphone that she can hook her tablet into and play music, when she's old enough to understand that. Might make her a glittery notebook to write her songs in too. She wrote two songs this weekend. One was about a butterfly town, and the other was about a Castle King who could do whatever he wanted because he was an adult and didn't have rules like kids :hilarious::hilarious:

This is something I dread from living in a cold country. Having to shove the ice prison over and over and over D:

How many snow days are built into the school schedule? What is the last day of school supposed to be?
