I did a search online for online tutoring. Wasn’t sure actually if it was a thing. The company popped up onto my screen. You have to supply them with any credentials and send in an audition like video. I don’t have teaching credentials, but I went past undergrad, and I homeschooled for 8 years. Then you do a mock class. I passed on the first shot. So, I applied and was hired within a week. Hoping the positiveness continues. :)

This is really amazing. You must have some natural talent to teach, seeing as you don't have any (specific, certificates, teaching degrees, etc.) credentials. They must have been impressed with your abilities, if they passed you on the first try. Obviously, you enjoy kids to begin with, so this sounds perfect all around. Congratulations.

We should be undecorating today.

Yup, same here. I was up after 4:30 this morning (even though it's a holiday/no work), and I put on the Christmas tree. I turned off all background lights in the room, and just watched the lights, etc., on the tree for a while. So pretty. :inlove:

Will take it down this afternoon--bummer. :( I do leave out the Nativity scene though, until Sunday.

Supposedly only 6% pass on the first try. As I tell my kids, practice, practice, practice. Hoping it continues to go smoothly. I am having fun, and that matters a lot. Hoping to see a steady stream of regulars so I can see progression.

For nostalgia purposes I agree, but, I almost was brought to tears when D ick Van D yke got up on the desk then did that tap dance. That offered us old folks a glimmer of hope. He is 93 years old and still able to do that, not like he once did, but, if I can do that at 93 I'll be a happy camper. Heck I can't do it now at 70. I don't know what is in the water where he lives, but, I'd like to pick up a gallon or two. I almost missed the part where the original Jane did her cameo. It was very brief and kind of exciting, but, I wasn't able to catch what she said to the current Jane. I'm not even sure she said anything.

She was the one who asked Jane and Jack where 19 cherry tree lane was... and they replied 2 doors down.

The Chains gave it away (and then double confirmed it with the fireplace!)

Yes, I saw her but I didn't catch the dialog, it just went by to fast. Maybe next time I see it, I will be focus more on the time that she showed up. I read that she has been out of acting for a long time. Still nice to see her. I liked a number of the new songs, but, also noticed that the background music for almost all the scenes were the original songs from Mary Poppins. I also loved that they were able to work in the dialog for D. VanD's spot about the "man with the wooden leg named......! Over all, though not as memorable as the original, it was a really great effort and well done. I found no fault with any of the actors, but, I did have a problem with the faster songs understanding the words. The accents made it hard to understand or maybe I'm just getting old and my hearing isn't what it once was. Whatever, it was still worth the time.
