Or, maybe the Brothers Grimm versions were old folk tales collected and adapted by them in written form...?
Now, I'm confusing myself...
Well, in Cinderella cases.. the story seems to be ancient. And already published by other authors.

IF you take note, almost all the Grimm stories had either gory details, murder, deaths..etc.. the originals arent that evil... in Grimm's most stories.. also the females are the ones who suffer most and sometimes even die..
like in The brother grimm's version of the little mermaid.. she pretty much died by converting into foam.

Not that I know. I read on the internet that what they did was only compile folk tales, children stories and other stuff.. they dramatized and expanded them.. and added their GRIMM twist.

According to Wiki, the first written and published version was by Charles Perrault in 1634.

Hahaaa...! "Grimm Grinning Brothers"!!! :joyfull:
But (I'm askin' anyone, 'cause I don't feel like googling, right now ;)) were the original tales considered any less "Grimm" than the Brothers Grimm adaptations...?

but then, they claim the earliest known version is of Rhodopis a greek slave who marries a king of egypt. written 7BC.

Yep, I got un-lazy and googled ;). Found the same Wiki.
Seems these same basic tales (with different twists) have, pretty much, all been around since the beginning of human tale/story telling. :)

And, what's even more odd, is I'm pretty sure I've read about all this in my Disney research before, and somehow forgot..."senior moment", maybe...? o_O
Actually, I'm just gonna' go with "Half-day Friday moment"...! :D ;) :)

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
Which one?

I've got popcorn.
Okay, a couple of points before I bow out of this circular argument.

- NOT ONCE did I say I hate Food & Wine Festival.
- F & W runs for more than 6 weeks (at a particularly attractive slower time of year) and it is preposterous that you suggest I should not visit Epcot for what amounts to more than 1/8 of the year.
- I specifically told you, numerous times, that I tried to avoid the crowds - by visiting between 11:00 am - 3:00 pm, and BEFORE the Festival was even supposed to start.
- My point was, that Disney could do more to control the unruly, obnoxious minority. The solution is not to tell me - If you don't like it, tough muffies Lady.
- And it's spelled "naive".

Debate over. You win. Peace out.

Looky here - even the polite Canadian can get a little snippy.
And yes, @Goofyernmost already knew that. :hilarious:
