Ahhhhh...
You’re into the more rustic, “old world” styles...!!! :D:hilarious:;):)

It’s funny, about 15-ish years ago clients couldn’t seem to get enough of the Tuscan, Majorcan, etc., styles, now they can’t seem to get enough of the more modern styles, including updated takes on mid-century modern of the past...! :)

Good Morning! It's Saturday.... so time to try to make up a menu and grocery list for the week!

The end of packages coming daily is finished, but oh my I have SO much to wrap! I have 5 stockings to do... and in my family we wrap all items in the stocking too (in tissue paper) does anyone else do this?

The only thing I'd wrap inside the stocking would be a non-food item. Most of what goes into a stocking is food treats, but if I snuck in a gift card for example, I might wrap it in a little tissue paper.

Woohoo....survived day one of this weekend. One more to go! I ended up not having to work, which was really nice because I had to bake up a storm. Over here, with birthdays, you're expected to bring a treat on your birthday....but I have over 150 colleagues, and I have 20 people in choir Monday night...so...I spent yesterday afternoon, this morning, and this evening after DS's birthday party baking for my OWN birthday.
Something I thought was REALLY weird...I have been wanting a Fitbit because my "cracker" (activity tracker) was no longer accurate. There was a sale on fitbits so I asked for one for my birthday/Christmas and it came weeks ago, but I've been saving it. So this morning, DH asks me if there's anything he can wrap up for the kids to give me tomorrow, and I hand him the fitbit. I'd been baking all morning and was warm and sweaty, so my wrist had started to itch under the band of the activity tracker. I took it off to stop the itching, then when I went to put it back on, it wouldn't turn on anymore. It died. What are the odds of it dying the day before I get the replacement???

DS had his party this afternoon....laser game was not his favorite. He's very competitive and got frustrated every time someone got him. He spent the whole time crying that he was the only one being shot, but all the other boys had a GREAT time, and one of them got the top score of the day. Then we went bowling, which DS did much better at and had a great time. Overall a success. Kind of amusing because DD was invited to a birthday party today for a classmate, so she didn't go with us....guess what their activity was? Bowling! But she said she had a great time.

DH and I are thinking the boy who invited her might have a crush on her. They are both in the dual immersion VWO class and they also play fortnite together. He invited the whole class (there are 20 kids), but not even half went to the party. He sent some pictures when DD got home, and he's sitting next to her the whole time. There's one where she's sitting at the back while everyone else is huddled around the bowling lane, and he's standing there talking to her like there wasn't anyone else in the room. We could be reading more into it than there really is, but it's completely plausible that he has a crush on her. They do their homework together over video chat, they spend a lot of time together outside of school (not physically, but playing fortnite, texting, etc)....she swears she doesn't have a crush on him and says she'd tell me if she did. (We were just chatting about school and classmates and such...we talk about everything, and I casually asked because they are always doing homework together, and she said no, she mostly finds him annoying because he's a teenage boy and therefore obnoxious) But even if it's not on her end, I think it might be on his.

So....tomorrow is celebration with the in-laws and then the last batch of brownie baking for Monday. I'll be so glad when this holiday season is over!!!!

I have about a dozen stockings to fill, and yup wrap everything in them. Have I mentioned my petition to make the days between now and the end of the year36 hours each
