which still takes me back. why the hell they dont build with concrete?Yeah, right on the ocean or bay my homeowners insurance would more than double, almost triple.Depends a great deal on how resistant those building were constructed. Joy Joy
Where would our country be without a good Navy. All part of the American Adventure. Seriously though, if you think about it, the American Adventure isn't just about Colonial Times. It's from then to the present. Maybe not as nostalgic looking, but, those other outfits look really hot (as in warm) to me. Maybe, we should consider the comfort of those hard working CM's!Right there with ya Sister Friend.

He is an odd one. My favorite though is him holding onto his toddler while allow the kid to play in fountain water just before the the entrance of the Dinosaur attraction. Someone caught it on youtube. It is great!
Shortly after Disney enclosed the fountain and now most would not even know there is water in there.
I endorse that idea. After all if you are planning on attempting to kill someone performing a scientific experiment you might as well use some worthless item that you have hanging around the house.I have some Canadian pennies, you know sometimes you have to run tests a few times to compare results.![]()
I wonder how expensive is to build a house from scratch that is elevated (at least 2 meters up) and build of concrete.
I still do not understand the US building wood houses in hazardous areas.
He'll figure out what a bad idea that is when his grandkids start using his earlobe like a tree swing.![]()
And that earring...
which still takes me back. why the hell they dont build with concrete?
almost every building in my country is built by concrete/cinder block/brick and they handle the hurricanes perfectly fine.
I'll leave the negotiations up to you. Let me know when it's signed, sealed & delivered.Maybe he'd do Hawaii if you flew to Cali did Disneyland, moved onto Hawaii came back and did the San Diego attractions a day or two and then back home. Splits it up nicely.
There is no reason on earth, other then cost, that one cannot build it out of concrete or cinder blocks. (Remember the three little pigs?) They would have no reason to zone it out unless they just leave it that way. The expense comes in when you factor in that putting siding on the Concrete/Blocks can add considerably to the cost. Seems rather short sighted to not realize the safety and later expense factor in the event of a storm, but, that's people for you. Why do people keep rebuilding their houses next to a river the overflows with every storm or spring thaw?Likely expensive and possibly not allowed. Ever town is different but as example in our town we cannot use cinder block or concrete as an exterior product and we must use only face brick all the way around a home and garage. We cannot have gravel or pressed driveways. Our roofs must be shingled or tiled. Then you must acquire the ocean or beachfront property, generally costly. You must also deal with the city and their zoning laws and engineering departments complying to the latest hurricane and flood building codes and further with restrictions of types of structures that can be built in flood zones. Fun Fun
Who's gonna volunteer to be the receiver of the penny?
and, no...not me.
You beat me to it.Maybe, we should consider the comfort of those hard working CM's
That's what they call armadillo road kill in the south: Possum on the half shell.
Nope, neither would we. It's expensive enough as it is to fly.
Our neighbors left today for Hawaii. They are flying first class, but used frequent flyer miles to upgrade.
The plane that we'll fly back on from Honolulu is a double decker. The upper deck has beds. Boy would that be nice.
How long is your solo trip for?
747-400 it looks like.747-400? A380?
so, instead of letting you make hurricane proof, flood proof buildings, they all have to "adhere to a code" ? :|Likely expensive and possibly not allowed. That looks like a cheap hotel with very basic outer wood/tablerock facade.Yeah, I saw the pictures of Cabo after hurricane Odile last years. Illinois had a team of firefighters trapped their after a destination wedding. It wasn't pretty, never is.

I had a great time, I will post some pics when I get them uploaded. I like to take pictures and I didn't have hubby there to rush me (not that he says anything but I don't want to hold him back) so I have a ton of pics. Any requests on a picture to see?
