I’ve really been trying to keep calm.. but I need to vent to you all...

Our soccer team is being switched up again, more changes than the ones I mentioned previously. Final tryout was on Wednesday, and we still haven’t seen the new roster or heard who’s going to what team.

T played the best soccer I’ve ever seen him play on Wednesday night,.. but who knows. He played well because I told him it was practice, and for the hopefuls to try out, not him. Amazingly- it worked!!! No nerves at all.

I’m just so sad and worried. I don’t think I need to be concerned, but really.. I have no idea what could happen. I’m sad that no matter what, it won’t be the same team. T has no idea about any of this yet... I haven’t told him.

I get it, this is select Soccer, I know how it works.. but this every season stuff is crazy... I wish it was just ONCE PER YEAR! Not TWICE :(

I have a question for anyone with computer savvy greater then my own, (which btw covers most everyone beyond the age of 2). My computer has been acting erratically over the last few weeks. Three weeks ago it was running very fast, no delay at all. Then all of a sudden it slowed down to a snails pace and either took forever to react or would freeze up for a few seconds and then start working again. Then just when I was about to call an expert in, it worked like it always did for a day or two and back to snail pace. Then after a few days it was back to normal for almost a week and then it was back to bad. As it is now.

It takes forever to start up, but, the initiation of whatever internet server I use (mostly Chrome, but, I also have occasion to use Microsoft and Firefox takes what seems like forever. Once it connects it starts out slow and then will pick up the pace and be fine. I can watch You Tube for hours on end with no interruption, but, trying to watch some video items that are on a site like this one will be a crap shoot. Sometimes fine other times freezes, goes again, freezes. I have run the Windows Security checks and even though they have found a few issues, according to them they had clean up whatever threat existed, but, it didn't change what my computer is doing.

The longer I am on a site, again like this one, the more it speeds up. I have typed this entire post, at least to here with no pauses or delays.

I haven't done much about it because of many other problems that I have mention personally, but, I am going to need this computer for searches a lot more for awhile and I can't afford to have it up and die right when I need it most. My question is what do any of you think is the problem. Is it a virus that Windows is unable to recognize? Could it be my provider Spectrum which has a test to see how many gigs it is operating at and if I check it when it is operating slow or fast and it appears to be operating within 1 or 2 gigs in those situations and at the rate that I had purchased. Is there some type of maintenance that I should be doing (I do nothing) that might help or be this type of problem if it isn't done. Or is my hard drive taking it's final stroll down the cyber highway? Oh yea, it should be mentioned that it is slow to sign on even programs that are not connected to the internet. So I'm thinking that it is my internal works and not directly connected to the internet or websites. But, I really don't know. HELP!

Possible clue... it let me type freely until I put on the Caps Lock to type HELP and it stopped dead, then after a pause put in the word help. I have typed this last paragraph with no delays Caps Lock or Not.
I have had to uninstall and then reinstall Firefox on my laptop to get it to run normally again. Has been happening a lot more lately though. I am sure @Cesar R M or @StarWarsGirl would be more helpful than me.

Sure, if it was legal in the neighborhood/subdivision, we’d design an alligator habitat, after doing the proper research...but, as far as I know, it ain’t legal in most of your average neighborhoods/subdivisions... :cyclops:;)

Personally, I think people who keep, normally, wild/exotic animals (other than a legitimate zoo/refuge/etc.) are complete and total freakin’ morons...there is story after story of said “pets” eating peoples faces off.
One particular report from California several years ago involving chimpanzees still makes me wanna’ go smack the named “owner” idiots in the face...they’re called “wild animals” for a reason...even your ancestors knew that...
I remember the chimp story. It also bugs me when people get these exotic illegal pets and over time realize they cannot take care of them and let them loose somewhere. Then those “pets” mess with the local habitats and wreak havoc on native animals.

You’d think this was a professional team the way they deal with the roster. Lots of pressure for young kids. Good thing you didn’t tell T it was a tryout. I am sure he makes the final roster. :)

Yep, dumb humans.
A mature chimp is about 5 times stronger than even the strongest of men.
Meaning, the Dwayne Johnson’s, Rob Gronkowski’s, etc., of the world would be missing body parts before they knew what hit ‘em...sorry dude, you ain’t as badass as you thought you were...!!!!! :hilarious: ;)

So cool!! I like it a lot!

Thank you..!!!!! :)
My job can be a royal stress-filled pain much of the time, but, it’s worth the results.
Although we’re pretty premier now, we’re also constantly in competition with other firms.
I, also, can do a lot of the old school design stuff that none of the youngins’ can do at all, plus I can also do what they do...this ol’ boy has it covered...and I know a TON of new tricks...I don’t fade away from learning new stuff, I embrace it...!!!!!!!

Not sure if Cesar has answered this or not, but...

Couple of questions:
How old is your PC? Is it a desktop or a laptop?
Does it only happen when you're using Chrome or Firefox or does it happen when using non-Internet apps (like Word)?

You can try running a cleaner application. CCleaner was recommended to me years ago by a member here, and we use it at work. I've kept my parents' desktop going for nine years now with it. You can get it here: https://www.ccleaner.com/

I would uninstall anything unnecessary. Toolbars, random stuff you found on the internet...

Unfortunately, it sounds like your computer may have a processing problem. If it's a laptop that's more than three or four years old or a desktop older than five years, it's probably done.

That's not normal. You shouldn't have to be uninstalling and reinstalling programs all the time. What's happening that's causing you to do this?
