I dont think a small coin coil gain that much speed. All items should reach a terminal velocity based on the structure, shape and solidity.That story actually came to mind. I saw it on Mythbusters. It was just a small coin but it gained speed as it fell and embedded in the concrete.
I have a friend that flies home to Australia twice a year. It takes him 23 hours to go from Cleveland.
