well, thank you.. now I have the TMNT theme song stuck in my brain again.. "heroes in a half shell, TURTLE POWER!"That's what they call armadillo road kill in the south: Possum on the half shell.
Have a great trip. Be safe.Well, kiddies....I'm off to have early supper and get ready for tomorrow. See you in about a week...behave yourselves.![]()
I feel your pain. Weeds are a PITA. What part of the country are you in?
Sadly, weed killer is banned in Ontario.
If you try to smuggle it in from Quebec or the U.S., it will be confiscated, and you could be fined. Big bucks.
Thank you Nanny State, Liberal Premier. Not!
Yes, our Nanny State Liberal Premier has decided that weed killer is bad - banned; pit bulls are bad - banned; smoking in your car with occupants under the age of 12, bad - banned; buying beer or liquor anywhere but the Beer Store or gov't owned LCBO, bad - still banned; smoking, bad (obviously) - all advertising, marketing, promotion - banned. (In fact, any store that has a pharmacy is prohibited from selling tobacco products from the same building, and for all other retailers, products must be kept behind roll-down covers.)hmm, is there a real reason for that?
Nope, neither would we. It's expensive enough as it is to fly.Hubby has already told me that we are never doing Hawaii or Australia. Not even in first class.
(Yeah, like I would pay for first class.)

Nanny State. These guys think we are too stupid to think for ourselves, and that we can't be trusted to make wise decisions.
Lets try Hooters!I guess not but honkers, jugs and bazoombas are okay?
Possibly, but, that wouldn't be nice and if nothing else is true... I'm a nice guy! (For a yankee)You're mocking me again, right?
No, definitely not an armadillo. No armor, that's armour for @JenniferS, just fur or hair or whatever it is that those critters have.Do you think it might have been an armadillo? At first, I thought opossum, but now I think maybe you saw an armadillo.
Curiouser and curiouser. No, definitely not an armadillo. No armor, that's armour for @JenniferS, just fur or hair or whatever it is that those critters have.
I know that I would never have been a Better Homes and Gardens winner, but, my philosophy was always that weeds were not only green, but they stayed that way when everything else turned brown. From a distance you cannot tell a weed from a blade of grass (as long as it is kept mowed). Long live weeds! A yard full of dandelions are very nice and cheery looking. Natural flowers, why wouldn't I like them. Without them, what do little kids pick to bring to their moms as a present? Or, what would one make Dandelion Wine from?I sprayed for weeds in my yard today. Ugh. What a pain. This is only the second full season for my lawn. Weeds were everywhere. disaster! Going to cut and fertilize later this week because we are finally past the cold temperatures. Very late this year.
I guess not but honkers, jugs and bazoombas are okay?
Anybody else getting the feeling that we are dealing with a British Censorship setup here?Lets try Hooters!

Not true! An upside down speak would be ʞɐǝds !I found that very amusing myself and quite odd that you can say "breast" but not the plural!
You can always say 80085 !!! (leetspeak)
Or upside down speak would be sʇsɐǝɹq
On PBS we watch Curious George, Dinosaur Train, Wild Kratts and Cat In The Hat. (Martin Short plays a good Cat.)My mother hated Caillou as well. I was never allowed to watch it. We're close enough to DC that we get two PBS channels. If Caillou came on, she would tell me to turn on the other PBS channel.
My favorites were Dragon Tales, Sagwa, Big Comfy Couch, and Arthur.
Are you talking The Garden Grove at the Swan? We dined there on bbq night a few years ago and it was good. We were one of the first dinner reservations and it wasn't very crowded at the time so Pluto and Goofy got to visit twice.Well that was crazy. We went through our entire trip and changed/added reservations. Has anyone here ever eaten at The Grove? We made a dinner reservation and it got great reviews on allears. We make our fast passes in 6 days. My daughter only gets to go for 5 days then goes back home for work and school. So that's new and a little sad. Oh well, they do grow up no?
