I find it amusing that some people don't let their different food items on a plate touch. (Believe it or not, I only heard about that preference here in the chit chat section, over the past year or so.)
Just a thought: it all goes to the same place. Reminds me of one of my favorite rhymes:
Over the lips, past the gums, look out tummy, here it comes!![]()
Hubby ordered wings:

I ordered a ton of food. 1/2 rack of ribs, pulled pork, 2 Southern fried chicken *******. I swapped out the usual beans for coleslaw, and had smashed w/gravy.

Best mashed potatoes I have ever had. I kid you not. Usually I order sweet potato fries here. Never again.
I ate every forkful (of the potatoes) and may have finger-licked the bowl. (Evidence to follow.)
How were the hush puppies? I have a hard time finding good hush puppies. You could play tennis with most of them.
Nope. I was actually in Paris.
Paris, Ontario.
They're awesome! This an old fave restaurant of ours that has been around since '73. As you can see, they're long and skinny, instead of round balls like most, so they fry more evenly and come out to the table hot and perfect. I could make a meal of just them and the jalapeno tartar sauce alone...!!!

Well at least you tried it. Good for you.So, @seahawk7 and @MOXOMUMD , I actually found the Naked juices at my grocery store this morning! Now, silly me, I looked up and down the juices aisle and couldn't find any. Did the rest of my shopping and ended up in the vegetables area, and looked up at a refrigerated shelf with salad dressings, etc., and there they were--hidden. Just a fluke that I found them. They're really expensive: $2.50, for a bottle that wasn't that big. I bought the mango one and tried it; it's really thick, not like regular juice I'm used to. I drank maybe 1/3 of the bottle. It was o.k., but the heavier consistency and taste weren't my favorite. I'm thinking I might try a different one next week; they had strawberry and I think blueberry ones that looked a little more appealing. I only got the mango because I've never had mango juice before. Think I'll bypass those green ones, too!
I think they all say smoothie we were just calling them juice.Oh brother. I just went downstairs to look at the bottle, and it does say smoothie on it.Next week, I'll look closer at the labels to find one that says juice on it, instead of smoothie.
Great food pic! It looks very juicy.ladies and gentlemen.. I present you my monstrosity.

the giant plate makes it look small.
And yes, I was so busy setting up the camera that I did not noticed (until I was savouring it) that I had used 2 "upper" burger parts.
the second one (which I ate in joy) had the 2 lower parts.
I hope to take a better picture tomorrow on the round 2 (as I have more patties available )
As for the recipe.
Pretty simple
- Garlic Salt
- Ground Black pepper (big)
- finely chopped onion
- ground beef
- 1 or 2 eggs depending on how much meat ( I used a bit more than half kilo for a total of 5 medium sized patties, so I used 2 eggs)
- Jugo Maggi
- Soy Sauce.
- Worcenstershire Sauce (Crosse and Blackwell)
- Mustard
- Oregano
- Pan Molido (ground bread?)
Put it in your favorite burger bread with a slice of yellow cheese.
- Mix the meat with a teaspoon of salt and groundpepper (or at your taste)
- Add half onion, finely chopped.
- teaspoon of soy sauce, maggi sauce and worcenstershire sauce.
- add the eggs then a teaspoon of yellow mustard, mix thoroughly.
- add the oregano (1 teaspoon should be enough, I like the strong flavor so I add around 2)
- Now add 2 full spoons of groundbread (something like this.)
- Mix until it it gets a consistence of goo.
- Bread it more with the ground bread and then fry in a very hot pan with oil until it gets brown, turn around and keep frying it until it inflates, remove as soon it inflates (due of the internal juices)
I also used my favourite SALSA of Mustard + Cream + Mayonaise + Jalapeo juice + spices.
not very photogenic, but delicious.
I'm Southern....no such thing as making a "small" batch of any of that. I'll need to hitch a pack mule to the bumper of the RV.![]()
