WELCOME HOME! Now, you can just relax, and do the chores at a leisurely pace.

And seating before the fight. There was a $10 per person cover for the fight tonight if you were still seated when the fight began, they also asked if you were staying put for the fight when you checked in with the host. I believe our server was over joyed that were planned to be out before the fight. (to put it bluntly I hate fighting as a sport, can't wrap my brain around it) But he'd be able to turn the table again so a win for him.
Sympathy like for the choresJust to let you all know we just got home! I will be back on probably Monday. Laundry and groceries will keep me busy.

Poor baby. I had to use different burp positions with one kid, because the positions I used with the others didn’t work to relieve gas. Does dd go home today? I am sure she is looking forward to getting out of there so she doesn’t have to get bugged by nurses all the time.Got back from the hospital about 45 mins. ago and DD is feeling much better, as well as GD, who was having some gas problems earlier, and all is now well!!!!!
You know you’re gettin’ older when you not only hate when your kids are hurtin’, but, also hate when your kids kids are hurtin’...!!!!!![]()

If all ese fails Walmart has one for 4.99 a yard. It's a bit stiff but 100% cotton and would work for that dress. They also have a black that has hidden Mickey polka dots. Joann has a satin for 9.99 currently 3.99 and their Keepsake calico there has a red and a blackThanks. Didn’t look for the material yet. Wanted the cheap pattern at least.
So sorry your High Tea stunk. I had high tea in the Uk on a family trip back in the early 90's and loved it! I loved the little sandwiches and pastries. I especially loved the clotted cream for the scones. I didn't drink tea, but hot chocolate was offered. It wasn't American hot chocolate, but a richer chocolate. I got used to it quite quickly. It was delicious! So, now that I'm back home, I can post a little about what I did the past couple of weekends. It was fun, but I'm glad to be back home.
Ok, so background, I've been on a few other forums before this one...a couple for Harry Potter, one for Twilight...and I've met a fair few people from online games and forums. The Twilight one, there are several of us from the Netherlands, which is weird, because there weren't THAT many people on the chat thread for that forum, so having so many Dutchies is rare. But one of the members from the US gets free flights because her husband worked for Delta for years, and that's one of the perks. So usually about once a year, she comes over here and we all get together and catch up on our lives, while playing tourist. We pick a different area every time. We've toured a cheese factory, we've toured an open air museum, a german castle, Delft, etc. This time, we decided to do Utrecht, and there's a castle nearby.
Last time, we did a high tea and we enjoyed that, so we decided to do it again this time. We searched for places that offered High Tea in Utrecht, and there were a LOT, BUT, since one of the girls was driving and picking the rest of us up from the train station, parking would be a problem. We'd have a 20 minute walk to most of the high tea places, or we'd have to be really lucky and find parking....slim chance. We wanted to be at the castle in the early afternoon to have plenty of time to look around, but since we're coming from all corners of the Netherlands, most of us by train, and had to take babysitting schedules into account, we couldn't meet until around lunchtime. We decided to reserve high tea at the castle....but they were full. Boo. So instead, we reserved in a town where it would be a 15-20 minute walk to the castle, or we could drive there when we finished eating. None of us had ever been to this cafe, but it was where we needed to be, and it seemed like a traditional high tea, unlike some of the others we had found that were specialty...like, all yogurt-based things, or one that was gluten free, or one that was vegan. None of us have diet restrictions and we wanted traditional. I don't remember the name of this place, which is fine as none of us plan on going back.
We were supposed to get a scone each, with jam and clotted cream, fresh fruit, sandwiches, 2 mini soups, and various baked goods like mini quiche, muffins, etc. So the mini soup I didn't get a picture of, but when they say mini, they MEANT it. They were each about half a shot glass. One tomato soup and one zucchini. The tomato was burn your mouth hot and very sour, the zuchinni was luke warm, but tasted good.
Then we got the sandwiches, which was basically a huge stack...it had salmon, tomato, and I don't know what all....all stuff I wouldn't eat. And I don't drink tea, so I ordered OK and the guy was really rude about it. "This is a high TEA." Yes....but I didn't come here for the tea, I came here to be with my friends, all of whom ARE drinking tea, and this is also a lunch room....I know you HAVE other things to drink. "I'll have to charge you extra for the OJ." Well, duh....I wasn't expecting it for free. They also charged our friend extra for milk to put in her tea. Whatever. Then they brought out the rest of the food. I don't know if any of you have ever had high tea, but USUALLY, they would bring one of each thing for everyone in your party. You would all get the same thing. They gave us four quiche/tartlet thingies, but they were litterally bite size..like the size of a chocolate in a box of chocoaltes, and they were all different, but she didn't know what any of them were. So we each got one and we don't know what they were so it was hard to decide who got which one. The scones were the size of a reeses peanut butter cup, and they gave us a small dish of cream (it was NOT clotted cream..it was more like yogurt) and one of jam...these dishes were the size of spoonrests. Those fruit cups were shotglass size. They contained 1/4 a strawberry, one grape sliced in two, a couple bites of melon, some currants, and then that tiny yellow square there on top of the honeydue melon was a piece of pineapple. And you can see how small the dishes were for jam and cream, and that was to share between 4 people. On the left there, is the baked things....you can't really see how small they are, but that muffin was about half the size of a normal muffin, the thing with the green top and the brown cylander (bottom left) was some sort of gelatin concoction....shotglass size, there was one spoonful of chocolate mousse, that nut cookie thing on the top that was bitesize, a blonde brownie on the bottom there that was DRY and tasteless, and one mocha pastry that was 2 bites. So we each got one of those muffins, one gelatin, one nut cookie, one mocha pastry, one spoonful of chocolate mousse, and one blonde brownie, plus the 2 mini soups, a mini scone, the fruit cup, a bitesized cheese or sausage pastry, and a finger sandwich. For 23 Euros a piece....so $26.50. We all left unsatisfied and unhappy with the service and the price.

We drove 10 minutes through the village next to Kasteel de Haar. Most of the people who live in the village worked at the castle at some point. It's very quaint and cute....the houses are still considered part of the castle property and have to have the house colors, so they all have these adorable red and white shutters on the stone houses. It's very cute, but hard to get a picture of from the back seat of a moving vehicle, especially when you are car sick. So I have no pictures of the village, but it matches the castle grounds.

If you look at the statues on the banister, they are all musicians and the faces were of famous musicians. The one on the corner has a lecturn, and that is the "director" and his face is that of the architect who designed the castle. Cuypers.
