DD and DG update...

So, this is pretty much how her own inducement went 27+ years ago.
She went on to say that she is feeling fine and all is well.
But, there is no way I’m going back to sleep at this point...!
Thanks for checking in. I guess I was wrong. I could have bet she would have delivered by now. Guess you have to go by how the mother's delivery went. My mom told me that my delivery was quick and painless for her. I had the same experience with all my kids. Within a couple of hours of being admitted to a hospital, a kid was born. I hope things progress smoothly for your dd.

No one can eat that much candy. They could donate it to soldiers overseas.
That's where our Halloween candy always went. I'm sure not all of it went there because my dh seems to gain a few the week after:cautious:

We got boxes of pop tarts and DD coffee, but never any candy. I was in Iraq for 15 months and never heard of anyone getting a box of candy, lol. But I was going to say that the candy from that post would easily make it so that family didn't have to buy any candy to hand out on Halloween in their neighborhood!

My guess is you are officially a grandpa now from the facts I got off this post. Pictures please.

Hahaaa...! Not quite yet, as per my previous post...!
But, it was already official, to me anyway ;), when they told us she was expecting!
Remember this...?!!!!!!! :inlove:

And, of course, there will be a pic or two at some point later today...! :)
Thanks again...!!!

This is how mine was too. They don't actually want to get the doc outside of normal work hours as that would be more expensive. So they do a slow drip with the pitocin starting the night before. This makes it less painful and easier to bond with the baby afterwards (studies show if they pump the pitocin in fast it's hard for mom to generate the hormonal response necessary for bonding with new baby, potentially for a couple weeks). Usually they start the pitocin drip around 8:30 pm and expect baby to make an appearance around 8:30 am when they come break the water and get things moving.

Good luck! You are way ahead of holiday shopping/doing then the rest of us I bet.
Thank you but maybe not as much as I'd like or need to be. This is going to be a very homemade Christmas for everybody including the boys. They only asked for a couple of movies, 2 video games but they did ask for jammies, HP robes and such. Also on my to do list will be assorted pickles and apple sauce/&butter. and one well drenched fruitcake:cautious:

Yes, DDs own inducement took quite a while. They started it a 7:30a and she wasn’t born until 10:54p that night. She was already a week overdue.
At one point in mid afternoon they almost sent us home because there wasn’t much progress. When they checked back an hour later things were finally starting to progress.
At the time DWifey started getting into some serious contractions and wanted the epidural, the doc was delayed by an emergency surgery. He finally got there in time to approve the epidural after DWifey had almost broken all the bones in my hand through a few of those contractions...!!!!! :in pain: :hilarious:
They sent me out of the room for the epidural. When they let me back in she was right in the middle of a contraction (I could see on the monitor), and was just calmly munchin’ a few ice chips.

Can ya’ tell the memories are just floodin’ back...?! ;) :)

It is awesome that you have the eating habits of a 6 year old. Love never growing up. Please tell me you squirted a little chocolate sauce in between the two I hope. :inlove:

I resemble that remark. That is a staple in my house. I way prefer that to a steak of any type and no animals except the highly endangered Marsh Mallows were harmed in the process.
As a side observation... chocolate and Fluff go together well, but, not in a sandwich. A fluffernutter is a very loyal pair and do not approve of a threesome. Also a true connoisseur of that sandwich would never, ever toast it. This has been a public service announcement.
I am also a very, very long way from 6.

Just to throw another tree in the mix, Maples aren't any better... every other year.. a bazillion helicopter thingies get dragged into the house, and the opposite years it drops little flowery things that get stuck to my shoes as well.

We used to call those “Pinocchio noses.” If you use your thumbnail to split the seed in half, it’s a little sticky and the whole thing sticks to your nose.

We were bored in the 70’s.

I think keeping people in cages is frowned upon in most civilised places :cautious::cautious::cautious:

We thought so, too, until...

Already decided we’re putting the tree up early this year.

I only gained 2 pounds on my last trip compare to 5 to 7 pounds on the trip before.

You gave me a good idea: no Disney trips until I lose at least 5 pounds. Been looking for some motivation - there it is!

We put up our tree before Thanksgiving. Not my idea.
Did the same thing with those helicopter things. :hilarious:
Don’t think you need to lose weight. You look pretty thin to me. :)
