This is who you were competing with last night. Two young girls spurred on by the CMs

108# of candy weighed in on luggage scale at resort desk. Yes their family flew to Orlando. Fortunately Southwest

EDIT: The 108# was collected in 45 minutes.

That's really disgusting. Nothing to like about that. I hope they, at least, donate most of it.

It is awesome that you have the eating habits of a 6 year old. Love never growing up. Please tell me you squirted a little chocolate sauce in between the two I hope. :inlove:

Nope, I was out of chocolate sauce! :hilarious:

Day 3! Part 1

After expending all night planning for this day (on day 2 ). We finally had our plans set.

We decided to use the embedded offers of BCFerriesConnector, which team a high class coach bus to Victoria via the BCFerries for a single cost.
Each ticket was 140CADs, around 100 USD I think.
Then on Victoria we would walk around and then take the local Bus tour to Butchart Gardens.

The day started very early, we woke up at around 4:30 am..
We showered and got ready and left to the bus station, hoping to catch the 5:00 Bus.. but sadly, we missed it by an inch ( we were around 5 meters away when it closed doors and moved).
It was raining softly and we were worried we wouldn't make in time.
By 5:30 we were really worried, but the bus came, and it was pretty fast. In less than 10 minutes we were in the SeaBus.
Which takes 15 minutes on average. Then we ran to the Skytrain (metro) towards the Telus Science World area and we just needed to walk 1 block via a park to get to the BUS station.

We arrived as they started to board. The bus operator was very chill and said we still had like 20 minutes more (lol). He let my mom down again for a pit stop and then when the 20 minutes hit, he did a rollcall and we moved on.

The trip was pretty uneventful. The Bus operator only talked a bit about certain areas and landmarks as we went all the way down to the south (almost by the border to the USA) to get to the Tsawwassen Ferry terminal.

As usual we got one of the largest ferries (6 floors) with 2 cafeterias.. They changed the layout of these ships. They now have a private lounge (upcharge) with waiter service and a full blown Buffet at certain hours (with limited capacity).

We only bought a small bottles of drinks and my mother bought some weird vegan soup that looked like a mixture of cornflakes with milk, but the liquid was yoghurt like and the cornflakes were more like seeds.
I had no idea what it was, but smelled pretty bad but my mom loved the taste.

Fun part, we found another mexican passenger who had just arrived from the airport to study in Victoria.
She was VERY unprepared for the cold. She was in a dress and had a tiny jacket. I would be surprised if he didn't get ill.
We talked a bit before parting ways then we meet again in the top floor while watching the sea.
It was VERY cold and WINDY (with my defences low of stress, hours diffences, waking so early and sleeping so late.. this was the last straw)

But I just cant stop watching all the beauty of the Islands before Vancouver ISland.

We talked most of the trip while enjoying the view. She was just 18, fresh from the high school and in hopes to learn english before deciding an university.
Lots of luck to her!

Photos of the Trip which takes around 2 and half hours (I think the total trip time was 4 hours with both buses. So a total of 8 travel time hours. We only had like 5-6 hours in Victoria and Vancouver Island)

Like 6 at same time.

There are Air packages too. If you want to be more time in Victoria, you definitively need to use this service.

Pintoresque houses in the nearby islands.

This guy followed the Ferry for almost all the way until a tugboat was near the ferry and scared her away.

We had a very long term mailman that we all adored. Retired. Replacement: Blurg

We also had a great guy here for years, and we got to know him. He'd even ring the bell if an important piece of mail arrived (hubs mentioned to him at one point, that a monthly check arrived from a certain address). We always gave him a nice tip at Christmas. Then, he retired about a year ago. :(

Been downhill with the mail delivery ever since. It's almost like we have the mail carrier du jour--we hardly ever seen a consistent person delivering. And sometimes the mail doesn't get delivered until 4:30 in the afternoon . . . whereas our original guy always delivered before 11:30 in the morning. Sigh . . .

At work, we have Columbus Day off, but they don't give us Veterans Day off. (Not our decision ... :( I would have voted for the other way around, if we were only to get one.)

I didn't realize how big the picture was. But technically he did land in America...just not in the America where they give him a national holiday. The first Europeans that we know of were the Vikings.

In my town, school is closed on Columbus Day for the students, but teachers and all other school district staff have to come in for Professional Development.
How about you @ajrwdwgirl ?

Hahaaa...!!!
I was just getting ready to post another update...!
Thanks!!! :)
She was checked into her room around 5:15p.
We visited them for a bit earlier.
Just got a text a few minutes ago from SonIL that DD is already 80% effaced and at 3 centimeters dilation. Things are moving quicker than originally anticipated. They just started pitocin at 8:30, as opposed to about the same time tomorrow morning, so we could be heading back to the hospital in a coupla’ hours....!!!!!

Anyway, thanks so very much to all of y’all for all the prayers, pixie dust, etc.!!! It is very much appreciated, and I’ll keep y’all posted...!!!!!!!:)
My guess is you are officially a grandpa now from the facts I got off this post. Pictures please.

That is a jaw dropping, cavity making enormous amount of candy right there. Unbelievable! When my kids have trick or treated at a Hershey owned park (either the gardens or Dutch Wonderland), they got a paltry amount of candy. We are going to try Hershey Park this year and see what we get. No way can they compete with the above, and they produce it!
