I went to the J. Crew outlet near me a couple of weeks ago and actually found a couple of pairs that fit me well and did not ride low on my hips. I like their classic clothing style.

L. L. Bean also has different styles in women's jeans from classic (waist), and looser fitting, to low-rise, slim fits and trendy. I've bought pants from them, from jeans, to khakis, to stretch ones. Love the fabrics and fits.

When you are sitting at a table it is easy to take off the lid. Walking around with a drink makes that hard and could be quite messy. Kids using cups without lids can be a nightmare. I think straws are necessary for the kids. When straws weren't available when my kids were little. I turned the coffee cups, with coffee cup lids into sippy cups. Wait, are they going to get rid of all cup lids as well? That would include the coffee cup lids. People could get potentially burned. Can, worms, open.;)

With kids you have a point, when walking around a park. (I guess I was more focused on drinks at home--just never grew up using straws.) So, with people with children at the parks, I guess you're right--they need straws, but I suppose the paper ones are o.k. for the kids, unless for a thicker, slushy iced drink.

If the carwash is one where someone else pressure cleans your car then I am with you both.
If it's an automated one then :in pain: I would never use one of them especially if it's a new car ...

There's a difference? (I didn't have a clue. :hilarious: ) I thought you just drive to a car wash and the car gets cleaned--didn't realize there were different kinds of car washes.

After doing some body shop questioning apparently a lot of the newer cars have been using "memory" plastic that returns to it's original shape when dented and the clear coat used on the paint job is scratch resistant and when washed the paint and debris from the other car just washed off. Color me amazed, but, happy.

That's actually incredible, and about time the auto industry did something intelligent like that.

Leaving for our first soccer game of the day.. it’s freezing!!! I have several layers on and a blanket to cover with on the sidelines.. tried to get T to wear his heat gear under his uniform. He takes my phone and clicks on the weather-

“Mom, it’s 60, not minus 60. I’m not dressing like I’m in the Arctic Circle.”

@MinnieM123 , get your warped brain out of my kid!! ;)

No, I'm a positive influence on young, impressionable minds! :p

I almost never leave a store with a bag from the store I have a nice large stack of reuseable bags always ready to go:joyfull: I made quite a few of them myself:joyfull:

Why does this not surprise me? ;)

On a completely different subject, I bought some carrots at the store, and they have really long green leafy stems on top. (Usually I just buy carrots in a bag--no stems.) Anyway, I couldn't find carrots in a bag today, so I bought these fancy ones. Question: Do you use the leafy stems for anything, or just throw those out?
