Willy Wonka is legendary.

We paid for our own wedding, which was on 9/8/7.

Open bar. Always open bar.
Nice wedding date!

The only part I don't like in Willy Wonka is the "Cheer Up Charlie" song. Dh and I are always over analyzing the movie too. Like how does Slugworth always know where a winning ticket is unless it was purposely planted?

That song is boring!

It was the only one I didn’t record. (When I was little, in primitive days, I took the clunky tape recorder I got for Christmas, placed it in front of the TV, bribed my little brother to SHUSH, and recorded every song from the movie except that one. I then rode around the neighborhood on my little “Silver Fox” bicycle with banana seat, playing the tape over and over.)

There is a pic of Wonka on my “wall of inspiration” at one of my stores - next to a picture of WED.

I will never watch the Depp film.

Such a handsome little guy. Didn't realize he had a dimple.:)

I’ve missed so much here.. but I have to tell you and @figmentfan423 about my excursion yesterday.. I could be the only person here who has never gone to Jungle Jims.. and it was amazing!! Packed, didn’t have time to take many photos inside.. but any food that could ever imagine was in there!

First we stopped at Cracker Barrel for my last fattening meal.. then I loaded up on a cart full of Whole Foods, Vegan Foods, and everything else to start my cleanse/weight loss adventure. Every fruit and veggie that a heart could possible desire was in this store. We’ll be back!

My kids wanted to watch the Depp one. It is definitely a very dark film. You aren't missing anything.

The only Jungle Jim's I remember was a restaurant at The Crossroads across from Disney. It was a lot of fun. I looked up your Jungle Jim's and saw that it is a massive food market. Good luck with your cleanse and weight loss adventure. One thing I have learned is to start your day with a glass of water with the juice of half a lemon. It is supposed to help the liver detox.

That looks sounds/beautiful!

I woke up super sick. I've only got 6 days to kick this before our flight to Disney. Wish me luck, LOL.
Ugh sorry... don’t worry though..You’ll get better. :)
Your trip is so close!! Is A super excited?

Oh no! With all the stress you are under, it is no wonder! My advice is to load up on vitamin C and D3.

I'm assuming the same. Cleaning with chemicals my body is not used to, in filth my body is not used to, with the added stress of life plus I'm not exactly eating much. I feel like it's totally expected that I get sick. Hopefully it passes quickly.

I’m supposed to completely cut out coffee.. I don’t know how realistic that is... but I did have a protein shake with added chia and matcha in it earlier..hopefully that will curb the caffeine cravings.

I do drink a lot of lemon water., have to remember to do it in the morning, thanks for the tip!

That is very sad when a parent wouldn't show up to a child's wedding. Did they ever reconcile?
Nope. My mom tried for years to reconcile, but her mother wouldn't have it. The last straw was after I was born and my grandmother told my mother that she wouldn't come see me at our house because "he is there." My mom finally got offended enough that she gave up. My grandmother died in 2011. My mom was with her when she died, but they never reconciled. She and my grandfather did reconcile after my grandmother died.

It's evidently what my grandmother did to people. She'd get mad at them and cut them off. And she was never happy unless she was mad at someone and stirring the pot. My mother realized later that she wasn't the only one my grandmother did that to. What's sad is that family get together soon at my.aunt's are much more peaceful now that she's gone.

I have boys so does that mean I'm off the hook? If not they're getting one like the one I planned for one of my steps. VFW, local place made the food, keg of beer, a couple of cases of cheap but decent wine, we did the flower arrangements etc. Everything on the cheap but fun
Nope, you still have the rehearsal dinner to deal with, but, might I add, that is way cheaper then the wedding.

That is truly sad. I wonder what kind of childhood she had to make her act that way.

Not the wedding, but, when my youngest moved in with her fiance, my Mother refused to go to any occasion at their place because they were "living in sin". One day I confronted her about it. She was in her late 70's at the time. I was very blunt about it and just said... 'Listen, what she does doesn't reflect on you, she is not your responsibility to guide to your morals. She is very fond of you and you are hurting her for no reason, it is not your problem. So get off your high horse and remember that you are not going to be around a lot longer to be with the people that love you. Get your head out of your 1930's butt and enjoy your family while you still can.' She showed up and never again mentioned it. She was fortunate enough to attend their wedding. I guess that is referred to as reverse tough love, but, it made her life and my daughters life a lot happier.
