Leaking from the top. Hopefully caught it in time. Contractor is scheduled to replace it next week on Wednesday. I'm off that day because my school district closes for Yom Kippur.Sympathy like. We had our water heater blow 2 years ago. That was not fun. Hope you didn't have any damage.
You're late to the party; Governor declared a state of emergency before today.Looks like MD is under a state of emergency for that hurricane this week. Woo.
Just a wall of people...and since those were the pre Smartphone days, no one had a clue.

Neither do I, but I still follow WBAL and WJZ-TV on Facebook.Jokes on you, I dont watch the news xD
That is not right. They should supply them. What you found was a Cpap machine. I have one of these, but, I don't have the battery that are available in some models. They are quite expensive and are purchased mostly by people that use the battery when camping. My Cpap is supplied by the VA, but, they don't go for the frills like battery packs.
Thank you... I'm confident we will all be fine and reinforces why I, after a brief desire, never decided to live on the actual Atlantic coast itself. Allows me to get to the shore in a couple of hours while keeping at least a small protective buffer between me and serious devastation.
ThanksCongrats! Welcome to the club![]()
I had a very small list, but, here it is Tuesday and the Storm isn't expected until Saturday and the stores are already out of everything, so stocking up is going to be difficult at this point. No matter, I have limited provisions, but, I have a plan on what to do to extend my supplies, especially of clean water. I have a number of containers that I can fill up for cooking and cleaning and tons of other things that contain water or juice, so I am not overly concerned about it. I am more concerned about the building, but, the length of the building is parallel to the coming storm so the smallest wall is facing it, we have trees but nothing significant in front of my apartment. My car is in a garage nowhere near any trees. So if the building survives, so will I.Still, be careful and make sure you have plenty of supplies. We're all thinking of you.

That is correct and on my list of things to do on Friday night. Or whenever, in case the forecast changes.I seem to recall hearing (long time ago) that in cases of impending storms, to also fill the bathtub with water (use buckets of water to flush the toilet).
So my question is this: why do you keep driving over nails?![]()
We’ve done that before. I don’t remember having to use the water though (our water didn’t get turned off, only the electricity).I seem to recall hearing (long time ago) that in cases of impending storms, to also fill the bathtub with water (use buckets of water to flush the toilet).
Talk about great customer service! I will have to remember the free flat repair.![]()
Thank you for that. We've all seen damage from even 6 inches of water in flash flooding situations -- that will be nothing compared to the rainfall you just mentioned. (My bro lives toward the bottom of a hill, too, and none of this sits well with me.) And even though it's been many years since he was in the service, he still has that ex-Marine thing going on with him--strong, stoic--he'd never allow himself to freak out--he's just not the type. (And if he did, he'd never admit to it!)
Nope, exams and certifications.
But arriving late night at Vancouver, not a fan. And we're staying on an airbnb home for the first time.. plus its all the way to the north (very far from the airport).
The first 2 days are going to be tight hours wise.
