Hooray!!!!!!!!!!!

I know, right?!?!?!?!?!

Another summer gone, another wasted Platinum Pass. We should have just gone to CP instead of the Gorge like I had originally booked.. but I thought Red River Gorge would be a different experience and we could do CP later.

We only have one Saturday this Fall without a soccer game.. I’d like to do a Fri/Sat.. but I’m having a hard time justifying the prices. Without Fright Lane and Fast Lane Plus we wouldn’t get to do very much.

5 hour drive and the hotel isn’t cheap, seems a waste to me if we don’t add the passes. I may just do the FLP and skip Fright Lane.. but still, $155pp..:hungover:
Hershey Park is way cheaper. For another 2 hours and less money you could spend the weekend there.

Is this the new job?

Yes, apparently they think I live in Kentucky, even though all of my paperwork and driver’s license clearly says Ohio.

I don’t know what happens to that tax money now.. I’m sure I will owe Ohio for this check.. don’t really want to pay double taxes.

I think I have to pay the city tax here regardless, but definitely not KY State tax, and I’m not sure about the 3rd tax.

It’s worse because this was a sign on bonus, so it’s a lump sum that’s higher than what my normal pay period would be. Which means I’m taxed a lot higher.

I’ll have to look up the rides at Hershey Park. T has been wanting to go to Cedar Point for so long (they show the rides during the queues at KI)... he’s looking forward to Steel Vengeance the most.

I promised him a visit and Fast Lane Plus once he reached 54”. He’s been waiting to reach that for the past 2 years.lol

When dh worked for someone in PA, but we lived in NJ, he got taxed by both PA and OH. When the 1040 was done, we got all the PA tax money back.

The cost just seems ridiculous.

Sympathy like. You need to get to HR and see if they can figure out what happened. If I was you I'd check the laws to see if you need to put aside each check just in case

Oh that’s good to know! I know this year there will be a cap on itemized items when doing a Federal return, I was already worried about that because I pay property, state, school district, city, and county taxes.. but to be honest I don’t fully understand the new tax laws.

Either way though, I know Ohio was definitely supposed to get a piece of that check.

The cost just seems ridiculous.

Typically, at least in summer, the FLP prices were around $120.. $120 is high, but a heck of a lot more palatable than $155.
I had no idea they ever got that high. Fast Lane lines can still be 20-30 minutes depending on the ride.

I called, they said they’ll correct it on my next pay period, but they can’t correct what Ohio should have had, I’ll have to call Columbus.

I have bad luck. Lol

Although, I kinda’ went back to work shortly after picking up DS from his job at 2p... :cyclops:
A friend and ex co-worker who now works for himself out of his home needed some help with a roof design for a 10,000+ sq. ft. home that he’s preparing construction documents for.
It was a bit of a mess, but, I got it all sorted for him....!!!
He said he’d been messing with it all week after the client made some major changes, and still couldn’t figure it out. He thought about calling me Wednesday, but, decided to wait ‘till Friday when he knew we had a half-day.
Anyway, he can now breathe...!!! :)

We do what you do now. Pretty much eat on the fly. I may book one table service and then after we eat and look at the bill, and see how little the kids ate, we're like, why did we eat here? In the heat also down there, we eat less. Sometimes a kid will just want a pretzel for a meal, so going to a full service is a waste. Even if it was just dh and I, I think we would do the same thing. Plus, it gives us more options like eating outside the bubble. ;)

Exactly!!! It also makes sense to us because things can change from day to day...appetites, what you’re craving, etc....who can plan for those types of potential eventualities 180 days out...?! :cyclops:
We’ve never done anything but Disney transportation, so bubble-ish ;) is where we stay. But, there are plenty of options there, so no biggie.
DDP was worth it at my 50% $30 CM discount, nowhere near it at $60, an not even remotely close now at $75+... :cyclops:
On the fly, as per actually being hungry, whatever cravings you have, etc., is the way to go for us...again, I stress for us, not for everybody...! :)
