You aren't disorganized, you are one parent doing it alone. You are right in that there are too many forms of communication. My youngest's cheer organization is not using an app call Band. This way they don't bombard members with text messages, and emails. All communication goes through the app.

Thank you.

T’s soccer team uses the GroupMe app this year.. it has made things a lot simpler, but the club itself still sends emails. I try to mark “important people” so I always see the emails.. school just has so many that I never have all of the names.

I don't see why parents cannot get together and ask for those types of helmets as part of a uniform. It is not like their vision would get impaired by a helmet like ones that wrestler's wear.

Yeah, it’s strange that “Lindsay’s Law” and “Head Balls” have so much attention, but nothing on the danger of a keeper getting kicked in the head during a dive.

It’s one more thing I worry about now that T is on a (part time) goalkeeper mission.

I think the main reason is because a helmet won’t help a ball to the head scenario.. but it would help with posts or head-foot collisions.

I am trying to get a Key West trip planned for my family. My dh loves Key West. I was even considering a cruise that stops there. We could always combine a Disney and Key West trip, but that would mean taking more than a week off for him, and he can only afford to be gone from work for a week. We are always checking out the Key West webcams.

Don’t shoot me.. but I vote for Key West the next time you go to Florida.

Especially after this year, I think it would be even more enjoyable for you. Spend a day at Dry Tortugas, and just bask in the serenity of it :)

Thnx but how do I get him to keep his room neat? As for the dates, I buy them in bulk. Oh wait I buy everything in bulk
As for the neat room, cannot help you there. Very hard to keep a house perpetually clean when you have 4 kids home all the time. They do try and help clean though and I have accepted that the house will not be spotless all the time. Part of my new Zen training.;)

The problem is was mostly the people on the other side of the lake and we can't tell what street it's on over there:banghead:

True, but for the future, just remember that cops aren't hard of hearing. Fireworks are loud--believe me, they'll find the culprits, if you give them a general area. Even though it's of a lower priority than more serious crimes, as long as they have time, they should be checking out noise complaints.

It's cop singular. Weekend and holiday nights it's the new guy. Also our nonemergency line isn't handled by the town:banghead: With an address he's here in a couple of minutes:joyfull:

Or our cop on duty doesn't consider noise on weekends before 10 or midnight on holiday weekends to be an issue:banghead:

There's other ways to bust up noisy groups (those with or without fireworks, or loud music). Quite often, local ordinances prohibit gatherings of ( X ) number of people (number depends upon your city or town), within the parameters of residential areas. The only way to get around some of those head count ordinances, would be for the offending party to show a permit obtained for a larger group to assemble (and permits can sometimes be pricey at their local city or town hall).

Hence, if noise complaints won't be taken seriously until 10 at night (in your area), the cops can still shut down a larger gathering, due to no permit. Either way, party's over.
