Oops. I did it again. If anyone is in London this holiday season and wants to see a crazy comedy about the break up of a long term relationship over a crazy holiday weekend, written by a crazy lunatic, let me know. I might have access to comps. The original off-Broadway production was a NY Times Critics' Pick and starred Mario Cantone (Sex and the City, The View, etc) and was directed by Jason Moore (Avenue Q; Shrek on Broadway, etc.) I have no idea how this London production will be received but based on the poster art, the producer may have been reading my "locked out of the hotel room naked" trip report. 😜

Congratulations @BuddyThomas, I'm really impressed, but, somewhat saddened. I always enjoy your posts, but, I have a feeling that you are going to raise way above the rest of us. Maybe even the replacement for Neil Simon. Hope your luck continues to give you more and more positive feedback. Don't forget us when you are rich and famous. Or at least send us some of your excess money. :hilarious::joyfull::D;)
Thanks so much but if I'm not rich and famous by now, it ain't gonna happen. I think the rule is that you have to become rich and famous before you have a colonoscopy. For me - too late. :p

Note that there was a bottle of shaving cream on the ledge in the first picture that was missing by the last one. That was because said shaving cream ended up in the tub.

In between, there was also a cat drinking out of the tub and trying to climb into me while I was in the tub. Then she got her paw wet and shook it off...in my face.

Also, add bathtub to the list of places to find cat hair.

Colonel Sanders was in his 60's. Others in their 50's like Charles Darwin, Ray Kroc and others. It's possible especially in the arts. Maybe not in a business situation, but, many many artists never reached fame until much later in life. I see it happening for you. Heck, I've had a number of colonoscopy's and I still plan on being rich, especially as soon as you start sending me some cash.

LOL. I'll make you a deal. If I ever get rich, you'll be getting the first check. Keep this post as evidence for Judge Judy in the extremely unlikely event that it ever happens and I default on my promise. :D

I was always told that we were German and that the family came over just before WWI. Even changed the spelling of our name so it didn't sound German because of WWI. So, a couple of years ago, I decided to do a family tree. Mostly for my Grandkids. That tree had all the branches connecting all the families Ithat were relevant to the Grandkids and their parents.

The big shocker came in connection with my family name. I was able to trace the entire family from me back to the late 1600's and it turned out that the first of my family (same spelling as today) started when a family received a land grant for 100 acres in or near Boston was granted by the then King of England. They were 100% British. The patriarch of the family died about 2 months after arriving in Boston and his wife was left to raise three children on her own. Because back then all property was owned by the male, she was not allowed to use or occupy the land that had been originally granted to her husband. According to the records it took 10 years before the King allowed her 3 acres of her own. What she did for money and how she raised the children is a total mystery. She did alright or I wouldn't even be here. It was quite a revelation. They were a hardy crew through the years which made it absolutely impossible to determine just how diluted that English heritage has become. The only one that was identified and verified was the time that Native American blood lines were introduced in the family. We did get around and are not anti-any cultures.
Huh....I wonder where the German story came from? My maiden name is spelled slightly differently than the common variation and I was told there was a disagreement in the family somewhere way back one when some of the family decided to chance the name so as not to be associated with the rest of the family. Judging by historical records, I'm assuming it was right before the revolutionary war and some of the family were loyalists and some were....not. But it's a very common last name and there are a TON of them in the area where my anscestors lived. But my father's great grandfather was well documented, being a government official in his state, and my father knew a lot of our lineage just from stories his father told him, so I had a LOT to go one when I looked up census records, etc.
My mom also had done a lot herself in the 1980s...she asked all the cousins for as much as they could remember about parents, grandparents, etc...mom was one of the youngest in the family and there were a LOT of cousins. My mom was in her 40s or 50s and there were cousins who were in their 80s. So they had information from way back...there were some things that a couple of cousins disagreed about...names of children for this couple....I looked it up in census records and it turns out there were two families with the same name, but obviously their children's names were different, and my mom hadn't had access to anything but people's memories. So at least I got that figured out. I got some information from my grandmother's death certificate, and some info from census, so I know approximately where some ancestors were born, back into Germany, but can't get any further. I'd love to go visit where my anscestors came from and see if I could find more, but I can't tell exactly where it was because town names have changed.

You lost Frango, too?! I used to have a boss that loved Frango chocolate--her sister used to travel to Chicago on business, and would always pick up a few boxes. I didn't realize that Frango is gone.
My voice teacher in college loved them too! I tried to bring some back when we visited my cousins on our way to New York one year, but it was hot and they all melted.

Congrats and may every performance sell out. Here's to it finally being the play that finances a trip the Philmonster can't gripe about
