@Goofyernmost , as good ol' boy from Vermont, did you ever drink Moxie? Heard today that Moxie (really more of a Maine tradition--but had some popularity all over New England--yet, an "acquired" taste . .. ;) ) was sold to Coca Cola. I think Coke is still keeping the production up in Maine (at least that's what they're saying now). Coke hopes to market it to a wider audience across the U.S. Good luck to them--again, it's an acquired taste. Some people love it; others not so much. I don't know anyone in the middle. :)

Yea! I'll be right over, and I'll even bring my own towel, the good sport that I am. Oh, do you have a slide for the pool, too? I like a slide.

Yes indeed, it is odd when New England is actually hotter than Florida! :jawdrop:

Go ahead. Intervene with the goon squad, and throw me in a rubber cell--just as long as there is air conditioning in there! :p I don't want to sweat while I'm bouncing off the walls.

Watched the weather guy on TV tonight, and he said it was the hottest August ever in the MA area. :banghead: I despise this weather, and for the first time ever, my colleagues at work today, actually agreed with me! :hilarious:
The thing is that just because for a few days out of the summer it is warmer in MA then Florida really doesn't mean it is warmer in MA then in Florida. I remember a lot of summers in Vermont when the temperatures were over 100 degrees which is common down here, but, we have central AC everywhere so it isn't as severe feeling. I can't wait a few more weeks when I start reading about how freaking cold it is (not from you), but it will be there.

Moxie wasn't available in Vermont for quite a few years, due to lack of demand. It made a comeback about 10 years ago. I tried it, but, for all the same reasons I only did that once. It wasn't terrible, just not all that appetizing. Down here we have Cheerwine which is just cherry soda, quite good, lots of calories.

Keep in mind that if Minnie says the heat is brutal it might mean that it's all the way up to 45 degrees. She has no concept or understanding of what good weather is. If her fingers aren't turning blue from the cold she will consider it a balmy day. It truly is a sickness and, I think, requires an intervention.
I say we give her electro shock, she's a tough nut;)

Oops. I did it again. If anyone is in London this holiday season and wants to see a crazy comedy about the break up of a long term relationship over a crazy holiday weekend, written by a crazy lunatic, let me know. I might have access to comps. The original off-Broadway production was a NY Times Critics' Pick and starred Mario Cantone (Sex and the City, The View, etc) and was directed by Jason Moore (Avenue Q; Shrek on Broadway, etc.) I have no idea how this London production will be received but based on the poster art, the producer may have been reading my "locked out of the hotel room naked" trip report. 😜

Congratulations @BuddyThomas, I'm really impressed, but, somewhat saddened. I always enjoy your posts, but, I have a feeling that you are going to raise way above the rest of us. Maybe even the replacement for Neil Simon. Hope your luck continues to give you more and more positive feedback. Don't forget us when you are rich and famous. Or at least send us some of your excess money. :hilarious::joyfull::D;)
