I know. This week is brutal with the hot weather.
Keep in mind that if Minnie says the heat is brutal it might mean that it's all the way up to 45 degrees. She has no concept or understanding of what good weather is. If her fingers aren't turning blue from the cold she will consider it a balmy day. It truly is a sickness and, I think, requires an intervention.

Aha! Thanks for sharing. I just love hearing about where people came from originally! I got on ancestry.com and researched our two families as far back as I could go. Then hit a snag cause some records were burned in a fire so I gave up. Got as far as great-great grandparents though.Yes Dad got a job offer and they moved here. Several years later the miracle happened

It looks reasonably well maintained. Hopefully it will find a buyerBlommer Chocolate Factory in Chicago is going up for sale for $500 Million.
At times when downtown the air smells of chocolate, wondrous. So if anyone is interested in owning a Chocolate factory......

Chicago was the Mecca of Chocolate Factories. We lost Fannie May, Frango, Broach and maybe this one now, worse as it is still family owned. Still have Mars though.

Too bad re the loss of those factories. Surprisingly we have chocolate factory in neighboring Lakewood NJ. It is called Astor Chocolate Corporation

She said she definitely wore the right shirt...2 of her new classmates are fans as well and they were able to tell she was one, too. So she made a couple of new friends. YAY. And yeah....she is no longer a little girl at all! Just in the last year, she's shot up so much and really matured.She looks so grown up! Tell her she picked out a really cute shirt

Thank you!! And I know! That's exactly what I told her. I said it might be 40 years from now, but someday she WILL thank me. She says "So when I'm 52?" I said I had no idea when....but someday, when she had kids ready to go to THEIR first day of high school, she'd want to be able to look back and see what she looked like. She just rolled her eyes at me.Oh she is so pretty! One day she will thank you.
