I really think you are pretty amazing. I have another friend who homeschools and I just wonder how you do it. I don't think I could. I LOVE spending time with my kids, but sometimes I need a break. Especially with DS...he can really be a handful. I don't think I could handle having him home ALL the time. And I know that sounds so bad, but before he started school, there were days where I was so frazzled when he had had 15 meltdowns in a day, and I just would be in tears when DH came home. Once he was in school, I wasn't dealing with meltdowns all day every day. I can't imagine going back to that. I NEED the break that school gives me. I think you are superwoman to do what you do.
Ha! I have to confess that I occasionally wondered if some day I was going to stop into their house and find bodies and blood all over the place. They are a family of 5. My Daughter (who at best is patience challenged.) Her husband works from home, an 18 year old boy, a 16 year old girl and a 7 year old girl. They are together 24/7. The only time anyone leaves is to take the kids to some activity. Right now the are remodeling their house and they have only the kitchen and a small area to use in the house, plus a bathroom, for now. They sleep in a 3 room tent outback. It has been a steady 90+ degree, high humidity NC summer for the past 6 weeks and all they have in the tent are a couple of big fans. It is nothing short of a miracle that they are all still without scars.

Adding to this post (because I answered as I was getting on PofTC) I was supposed to leave tonight, but we were expecting some nasty weather and Southwest recommended changing my flight to this morning. So my boss gave me permission to take an extra day off. I did work at the airport and on the ME bus. At MK now; going over to Studios later.
Share photos, not many of us have the opportunity to roam WDW this much :(

Sounds like the makings of a Criminal Minds episode

We have another storm warning. I would go out and get a pic but I AM NOT going outside or near any windows;)

Stay safe!

How much more freedom do you have?

Officially I go back the last Tuesday of the month which I think is the 28th. But I'm going in for a meeting this coming Tuesday, I get paid for the meeting though so that will be nice. My niece is visiting this weekend, but I plan to relax and get some projects done next week. Live up the last week of freedom!! It has gone so fast!

Yikes....you might want to check the medicine cabinets. If that situation doesn't require medication, I don't know what would!! My husband is similarly afflicted....he has a really hard time being patient with " abnormal" behavior. He's learning, and we get plenty of practice, but it's certainly a good thing that -I- was the one to stay home with the kids instead of him. How long will your daughter's family be living in the tent?

We did the tent thing once for 3 nights so that checked off my try it and done list;) Heck we don't even do more than 3 nights in one hotel room any more:D Why aren't the kids at your place instead of a tent:cautious:

Hard to tell, to make the situation worse they have run into delay after delay due mostly to an incompetent project manager. They are afraid to say anything, at the moment, for fear that it might make the situation worse, but, it has been a comedy of errors from the get go. They should be in the final stages now and are still trying to get the framing done. It is awful. I warned her about those possibilities and said, even though it might cost you some extra money, rent an apartment for the duration, but, she makes Scrooge look like a drunken sailor on shore leave.

At least they won't wind up camping in the snow;)

I have enough to do just staying upright plus I live 22 miles away from everything that they are involved with plus I only have a two bedroom apartment and one of them is my office. My apartment is just a little bigger then their tent. However, one person instead of five can make a difference. I do know a 16 year old girl that has vowed to never, ever, ever, ever go camping again as long as she lives. I'm with her.

When I was a kid my dad was a camping fanatic. I have not done that again for over 45 years and have no immediate plans to do any for the next 45 years.
