Not long.

This person I had to deal with today...I explained that we have no licenses for this particular program available and that she needs to purchase it. Apparently that didn't make sense via email, so she called me. I explained to her over the phone that she had to purchase it. She argued that her coworker didn't have to purchase it, so she shouldn't either. Then, I put her on hold so that I could talk to my coworker. We tracked down verification that her coworker did purchase it. I got back on the phone and said, "Your coworker purchased on this date. We're having everyone purchase as we don't have any licenses available." She was still confused (we gave her a PDF with links to purchase. What is confusing about that is beyond me.) So I gave her the contact info of our rep at the vendor.

But wait, there's more...

Then, she emails the technician working on her PC. "Here's the quote, please install this for me." Which he can't do anything about;; he's waiting on us for confirmation that he can install the program He was going to respond, but we said "Don't even bother. We've already told her."

But wait, there's more...

She then put in a ticket into our request software for the program. "Here's the quote, please install." Not realizing that I go through there a couple of times a day and pick up the tickets belonging to my team. So I emailed her back, "As I explained on the phone..." And cc'ed my boss at that point.

In conclusion, I hate people.

That's lightweight. Wait until you get a few more years of dealing with fools -- you'll be heading for a rubber room by the end of the day, just like the rest of us . . . :p :hilarious:

The man that was on call when my wife gave birth was of Filipino heritage. Might have been Dr Mendoza?? .....and.....I am NOT sure about the Pineland name. It just might have been Lake shore.
Same office I believe. My doctor was Brownell. Dr. Mendoza was I think Filipino?
Really nice guy and they were all younger.

I just saw your 2nd reply. It is a small world and maybe your wife and I passed in the waiting room at times. :)

My earlier statement was wrong. Pineland is in my home town but back in 2001 my wife went to Wall....and Lake shore sounds correct. ..........Cue the music: "It's a small world af-ter all"
So I finally filled Mrs. Steve in on this. She said: "yes hon, Lakeshore". The woman doctor was Elizabeth Brownell. I went to Lakeshore's current website.....none of the three doctors from 2001 are still there. Not surprising I guess.
So funny!!! And very cool!!! Brownell left when her daughter was born and decided to stay home because she felt her daughter was more attached to the sitter than her. I loved her. The main doctor due to rising costs joined hospital affiliation. Brownell told me that just the malpractice alone was close to 100k a year for all 3 and it was getting hard to afford with insurance payments. Dr. Mendoza left shortly after. When Brownell left I then just went to an office in Colts Neck on her advice. So my 3rd kd was born in Freehold. :)

I cruised by a post a coupla’ day’s ago (when I was at the office, so couldn’t respond :cautious:) about a 30,000 sq. ft. house having too small of a kitchen. Quickly pulled up the pics, and it did indeed look a bit small for that many sq. ft.
Reminded me about a kitchen we designed for a 21,000 sq. ft. mansion we designed 20 years ago in ‘98 for a car dealer, that, IMO, wasn’t too small...! ;)
Here’s a shot of the general area of that home on the main floor. The kitchen is, essentially, the size of 2 kitchens. There is also a wet bar to the left of the kitchen, a butler pantry below off the formal dining room, and a large walk-pantry just to the right of that...

And, a closeup of just the kitchen...! :)

Now that is a proper kitchen!!!!

Yes RP. It's a little sleeker and more modern than the Poly.
Well, if I could afford to stay at the Poly, I would do that, but RP is cheaper for a similar experience, not to mention we won't be there as long as we are at Disney. So all things considered, I'll take it. Actually, I have very little desire to go to Hawaii, because I'm not a beach girl at all, but I love the style with the palm trees and natural woods, etc. So staying at a resort with that theming for a vacation where I don't have to sit on a beach sounds so good! Best of both worlds.

It does go both ways husbands or wifes. I too know of both. Sad and disturbed people. I have more respect for those who want out and do that before taking on a Mistress (or whatever the label is for the reverse) before they live a life of have maintaining both. No matter if it is a man or woman having a spouse and an 'extra' I can't wrap my brain around. No excuses for that type of behavior. Own it. I know our supreme leader is making it 'chick' thing to do but who wants to be like 'that' guy???if your done to the point of having both be honest and bail don't do that to a spouse. Creepity.
Oh, I meant the stigma attached to men being stay at home dads. I know there are men who want to stay home with their kids while the wife goes to work, but there's a stigma attached to that, and I think men would stay home more often if it wasn't looked down on so much. It's considered "weird"....but why? They are just as much his children as hers. There's no reason why a man shouldn't be the one to stay home.

According to Disney's Press release today:

Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies (available daily through October 31)
We didn’t just stop at candy corn ice cream. This year we’ve created the Candy Corn Milkshake! The perfect Halloween treat – it’s topped with cotton candy and a Mickey-shaped marshmallow.

:depressed::depressed::depressed:

I love candy corn but there's no way I'm drinking a candy corn milkshake!

Can someone in the US do me a favor? We want to stay at the Poly for one night on our trip next Summer before we fly home. I just tried to price it out and it's telling me that one night with the 4 of us is over $1500. Is that true?? $1500 for ONE night? I mean, I know it's Disney and the prices are more than just a standard hotel somewhere, but I was thinking it would be 1/3 of that price. How can anyone afford to stay there at $1500 a night? But I can't access the US site to see if there's a difference. I'm wondering if they are price-gouging Europeans for short stays. I even went back to make sure it was hotel cost only and didn't include tickets. So could someone look up what a 1 night stay at the Poly costs for you? Thank you!

edit: I clicked on the select button and it only has club level suites. So I picked a different date, and it went down to $638 for a standard room..that's much better, so it must be they just didn't have standard rooms left for that one date I guess?
