I got an email this morning that my mom's cousin, who sang at my wedding, past away last Tuesday. She was 80, so she had a good long life, but it makes me sad. She and my mom were about 6 months apart in age and they grew up like sisters. She was so much fun. She had no kids of her own and she was scheduled to have heart surgery on Friday, but she didn't make it and died alone. It breaks my heart.

In positive news, my cousin (brother to the one going to Disney with us) was able to stand up on his own this weekend. I don't know if I mentioned it, but he was in a mountain biking accident and has a severe spinal injury. They didn't think he'd ever walk or talk again. 2 months later and he was able to stand. He's not walking on his own yet, but the fact that he can breathe on his own, swallow, and was able to lift his hand up are all good signs that he is surpassing expectations. He is very outdoorsy and goes hiking, skiing, mountain biking, etc....so he was in really good shape when he had the accident. I'm betting that helped.

So sorry for your loss.
Prayers for your cousin on his continued healing.

Oh I love those! It would be nice if we could swing a trip next Fall to Disney to enjoy the party.
Thanks! DH had some old one that he said he could wear but I told him he was not having another Halloween picture in the same shirt again. :joyfull: Yes, you guys really need to start saving and make it happen!!! We had talked about not going so much, but here we are going again. We may as well give up trying not to plan a disney trip. It always works out for us.

This was the first year in a while where we had gone away for only a week. But things happen as you know. Grateful for the week we had and hopeful that next year we can make it up in banner fashion.

DVD seems to be the only place for it. We bought all five seasons a while back. I know it occasionally comes on MeTV as well.

I went bowling with my mom and brother a few Fridays ago. As her ball curved around the pin, we both went, "Missed it by that much!" In our best Maxwell Smart voices. :hilarious:
Ha! Too funny. I’ve seen Get Smart on TBS and Me TV over the last few years but not finding it now even on Netflix nor Hulu. Could be mid September when everything switches up again it may return. The CBS division that owns it seems to rotate the real old but Golden ones.
