And, woof the waitstaff are amazing acrobats...!!!!!
So many times they pass each other with these monster-stacked trays, and we never heard a single crash on either cruise...!!!!!;):)

Restaurant waitstaff really work very hard. I loved the photo showing all the dinners stacked up and how the man expertly maneuvered that heavy tray on his shoulder, throughout that crowded space. They are amazing.

The towel animal in Shirley (MIL), Carol (DWifeys aunt), and Hayley’s (niece) cabin that evening...!!! :)

And not to be outdone by the restaurant waitstaff, the room attendants/housekeepers also work very hard. They're very creative with the towel animals, and it must be fun for them to create smiles for their cruise guests.

My 2 lobster and shrimp entrees...!!!!! :hilarious::hungry::happy:;):)

You'll think I'm nuts (well, you already know I am! :p), but I've often wished that cruise ships would offer a 1-day, dining experience, for a flat fee. (This would be in-between their regular cruise season schedule, so as to not interfere with their regular season activities.) Not everyone can get the time off, and/or get up the money for a full cruise, and this would give some people an alternative option. Everyone I know who has gone on a cruise. ALWAYS talks about the food first!! I think that even people who have been on cruises, might be up for a special, 1-day, eating fest, if a cruise ship pulled into port for a weekend.

And, sunrise at 6:15a that morning...!!!!!

I love mornings, especially when I'm away on vacation! Sunrise is always my favorite! :inlove:

By far and away, most...!!! :)

Mickey Mouse, Daffy Duck, Fred Flintstone, Ren and Stimpy, Bart Simpson, Spongebob Squarepants, Felix the Cat, The Roadrunner,
Marge Simpson, Yogi Bear, Stewie Griffin, Popeye the Sailor, the crab from Spongebob?, Charlie Brown, Bugs Bunny, Wilma Flintstone, Mighty Mouse, Bullwinkle the moose, Odie from Garfield, Goofy, the squid from spongebob?, not sure although I can picture his face?, Snoopy, Yosemite Sam?, Olive Oyl, The Pink Panther, Betty Boop, not sure?, Casper the ghost, Sherman and Mr. Peabody, The Tasmanian Devil, Bobby from Bobby’s World (Howie Mandel voiced him), Pinky and the Brain, and Marvin the Martian.
Phew!
I think that’s all...?????!!!!! :cyclops::hilarious:;):)
Ah, yes it was the Tasmanian Devil that I couldn't identify. Now that I see it... of course, that is who it is. I think the Squids name was Squidward, not sure though. Sponge Bobs neighbor. I learned some of the old ones on my own, mid-range ones from watching with my kids and the newer ones with my grandkids. That's called staying generationally current.

I don't post but so follow a few sewists

I just started following other people (besides my personal friends) relatively recently. Sometimes when I do a hashtag, a stranger will “like” and “follow”.. It used to creep me out a bit, never bothered to look at their profiles, but there’s a couple who’s account is called ‘life above the tree line’.. their photos and hiking adventures look amazing, so I followed them back.
I’ve never been to the majority of places they visit/hike, and it’s so neat to see the pictures! T and I have put quite a few places on our “eventual to-do list” because of said photos.

Since then, I’ve followed a few more strangers.. I’m late to the party, but now I love Instagram. Lol

I think the best part, especially for me regarding my kid, is ordering whatever you want and not even glancing at prices.

We thought we would eat at a lot of specialty restaurants, but never found the time.. only Margaritaville for an afternoon snack.. this table belonged to just me and T.. we ate, a lot. 😂

T’s go-to appetizer every night, even when it wasn’t on the menu- salmon tartare. One night he couldn’t decide between that or sushi, so the waiter brought him both appetizers. He finished both plates!

So I mentioned to dh that the walls were getting kind of dingy. I thought he would grumble, but nope, he was excited to go to Lowes and get paint colors. So we started on the dining room which is now done and have moved on to the kitchen/dining area. How are your projects going @21stamps and @93boomer ?

Doing well. Working on pex in the bathroom today. Picked out knobs for vanity yesterday. Painting still going on with the vanity. Slow and steady! Thanks for thinking of us! 😊

Minnie you’re so right about the food, I just wish we would have had lobster like @donaldtoo That would have made it perfect.

The servers all loved what T ordered and ate, said they don’t see too many 7 year olds eating octopus and salmon.. so they kept sending us surprise treats to our cabin..as if we weren’t already eating enough! 😂. It was very nice of them though!

I really do want to try to do at least two speciality restaurants on our next cruise, but I doubt I will be able to get my kid off the ropes course for more than that. ;)

If you have the time, NCL does some 2 or 3 night cruises out of Miami, to Cuba.. I think on those cruises all drinks are included as well. Longer than a day, but not too long. You may want to look into it :)

Oddly the terms since HGTV have muted to interchangeable however chair rail in my era was this.
View attachment 302662

A board meant to take the scuffs from the top of a chair vs wall or wallpaper. My folks had this in their kitchen area around table. Wainscoting had the same service in our formal dining room just far more decorative and eleborate than chair rail.
We put up chair rails in the kids bedrooms in order to do color transitions. The top has one color and the bottom white.
