Interesting you should mention this about the dog. My dog also had issues with a higher grain dog food, so we now mix a grain free one with his regular dog food (50/50 mix) and he's been doing great for quite a while now.
When are 2 younger dogs were puppies, they developed a scaly rash. The vet recommended changing to grain free and that seemed to do the trick. No more rash. Sadly our older dog is starting to have health issues. She is peeing in places she is not supposed to. We have even put down potty training pads which she used to use, and she is ignoring them. The vet checked her urine and it came back fine. He said older female dogs can have incontinence issues.

The mug bread only called for baking powder. Think I should sub it for the baking soda and vinegar? That is what I use for muffins and cakes.
When I bake if the recipe calls for Baking powder I add soda and vinegar, if it just calls for soda I add a smidge more plus the vinegar. The exception to the vinegar is cakes or breads with acidic fruit

For those who maybe interested...Buy a 3 day ticket at Universal Florida get two additional days free. :)

Me I am eagerly awaiting the excitement of Volcano Bay Waterpark. So can't wait for the rapid river. Missed it last year because of hurricane Irma. Do over this year.

And this is why Universal has so successfully up'd the ante, and is doing extremely well. (3 days, get 2 free -- WDW COULD do that, but they won't . . . :cautious: )

I'm with you. I respect to each there own. Real health issues all bets are off.

I watched my Sis that has gone Gluten free and Vegan over the last two years this past weekend. I can see the down fall. She is heavier, she is always cold. She catches colds and flu type viruses frequently now as does her hubby and college age kid. A new thing. I look at the ying and yang being genetically related. She has an extreme diet without health requirement. I'm healthier. I question. Me I believe carbs and meats are a balance for my healthy lifestyle. I don't judge those who choose otherwise but for me a balance in food groups is seeming to work even at my AARP age.

Overall agree with the above, but also, as I mentioned in a few posts back here this morning, I do know one person at work for whom the gluten free has really worked out well. Note: she does still eat meat and fish though, so in her case, I think she still gets a balanced diet. She looks great, by the way.
