I’ve done mug cakes before, but never bread.. will try it.

Whenever I read stuff like this I always wonder about something that both T’s pediatrician and GI doctors have told us, in different words, but same meaning...

Both basically said that more people are gluten free than actually need to be. Our GI doc went so far to call it an unnecessary and silly trend...
But so many people say they feel better once taking that road. I wish there was definitive data on it.
My initial round of testing for gluten came back inconclusive just a year later it came back positive. From my experience short of a biopsy the best way to know is try the diet. Sorry that most likely didn't help. Just curious has he been tested for celiac?

I just made it! I had blanched almond flour in the house so used that. Instead of eggs I used 2 tablespoons of flaxseeds that I ground with 6 tablespoons of water. It would have risen more possibly with eggs. It got up to halfway up our Chip and Dale coffee mug. I had it go 4 minutes instead of 3 because it seemed to wet. It popped out of the mug easily. I put some coconut oil on top and it was so good! I will try it with quinoa flour too. I bet I could stir in some fruit as well.
I add a bit of baking soda and a bit of vinegar to baked products with flax egg to make it rise better

I'm with you. I respect to each there own. Real health issues all bets are off.

I watched my Sis that has gone Gluten free and Vegan over the last two years this past weekend. I can see the down fall. She is heavier, she is always cold. She catches colds and flu type viruses frequently now as does her hubby and college age kid. A new thing. I look at the ying and yang being genetically related. She has an extreme diet without health requirement. I'm healthier. I question. Me I believe carbs and meats are a balance for my healthy lifestyle. I don't judge those who choose otherwise but for me a balance in food groups is seeming to work even at my AARP age.
She needs ro see a doctor if she is on a vegan diet to make sure her blood numbers are in good shape. They can also make sure there isn’t something else going on unrelated to diet. I

This is a tough call, and there seems to be a lot of disagreement among people. The only person I know with a gluten allergy is a colleague at work. A year ago, she got away from gluten and hasn't had any stomach issues since--apparently, she had experienced GI symptoms for close to two years and no one could figure out what was wrong with her. On a whim, she tried gluten free -- and it worked, for her anyway. So I guess the jury is out on this one--maybe it works for some, bot not all?

My dog has been eating grain free food since the day I got him, but I did do treats containing grain..until the day after his first birthday, his birthday cake made him excessively sick, which prompted me to find out what was going on.. he really is allergic to grain and has been 100% grain free ever since that day.

I wish it was as easy to try it with my kid.

Interesting you should mention this about the dog. My dog also had issues with a higher grain dog food, so we now mix a grain free one with his regular dog food (50/50 mix) and he's been doing great for quite a while now.

For @MinnieM123...
This is a shot (from the interwebs) I forgot to post the other night of the gas pump area at a Buc-ee’s, and this is pretty typical-busy for the times we’ve dropped in there...! :)

Lotta white cars there! ;) I only see 2 that are not white. Are white cars more popular in your area? Oddly enough, I don't see too many white cars in my area.
