I wonder if they dislike mothballs like mice and bats do? It might be worth a shot to scatter some along your deck and steps, they are fairly inexpensive.

I will try that!! I’m desperate. I’ve put out soap bars around the deck and plants.. I also shed hair like crazy, so I take my hair from my brush and put it near the tomato plants.. that’s more for the pesky dear though.

I’ll try anything around the front stairs.. they’re already starting to cave in :( Nasty chipmunks.

I have a severe chipmunk (and squirrel) problem. They’re destroying my deck, my front porch steps, and a wall in front of my house. Those jerks are the reason I didn’t do a brick driveway.
They also eat all of my veggies and herbs, almost all, they never touched the dill for some reason. I didn’t do herbs or any veggies besides tomatoes this year.. I’ve had so many grow, but have only had TWO tomatoes actually make it past the critters. They’re also destroying my yard with holes everywhere.

I have traps out now, as does my neighbor. We’ve caught 6 chipmunks in the past week. Then neighbor takes them to a lake to let them out. I have no idea how many are living here. :(

Same!! Anything north of Vero Beach is too cold without a wetsuit. I could handle northern waters a lot better when I was a kid, not anymore.
There are some natural sprays that deter the chipmunks and squirrels at Lowes and Home Depot. They have things like pepper oils and/or other scents they don’t like.

You can always buy movies and play them in Spanish. Sometimes for fun my kids will choose a different language to watch a movie in even if they can't understand it. Coco was the best because the voice actors are the same.
My dad put Toy Story on in Spanish once, just to hear what it would sound like...we ended up doubled over laughing, it was hilarious!

A sign of what? That I shouldn’t be listening to that music? 😂

Funny story.. I dated a Colombian guy, had a serious relationship with an Argentinian, and married a Spaniard. All 3 of them hated raggaeton!!lol. 2 weren’t bachata fans, but my husband at least tolerated it and danced with me whenever we visited the DR.. he knew better than to refuse that. ;) ..but he did always call my raggaeton music “that ghetto noise”. 🤣
I hate rap music, but for some reason I love Daddy Yankee, Don Omar, etc🤷‍♀️

My son dances bachata and loves the dance and music as much as I do. I have to be careful with the Pandora raggaeton channels though.. I have “explicit lyrics” turned off, but sometimes I hear a word slip thru. I don’t think T has ever heard a Spanish curse word, but I definitely don’t want him singing it.
Its a sign for you to play despacito and stay away from reggaeton :P

We used to have a lot of squirrels around our apartment complex. Then one day a big old Hawk showed up in a treetop nearby. Within a month they all mysteriously disappeared. So... buy a hawk. You won't even have to feed it.
