He calls that and 4 slices of toast a snack:banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead: I have a standing offer to swap food bills with anybody willing to do so;)
If you can find a way to siphon off a little of that metabolism, I'd be interested in purchasing a vile or two. My grandmother used to tell us how my grandfather would eat a dozen eggs and nearly a pound of bacon every morning for breakfast and he always stayed thin. The catch was that he owned/operated a farm and was also a professional carpenter so he worked around 16 hours a day for years. That might have helped.

You and everybody else. He's the kid who can sit and read 8 hours a day. I don't want to picture how much he could eat if he was more active

Wanna bet that his hunger will come under control when he starts buying his own food? That happened when my girls went out on their own. Course they didn't eat that much so that might be an expensive habit. My other son is law is like that. He is so thin that you can read the lords prayer through him. (one of my mothers old expressions, never understood it, and never asked for clarification.) Anyway, I've never seen an adult eat that much. We hate him.

I am ok with a little cilantro, but too much turns me off. I grew it 2 years ago but bunnies or a ground hog ate it. You need it for salsa and tacos and such @SteveBrickNJ . I am sure you have eaten it if you ever ate Mexican food.

I have a severe chipmunk (and squirrel) problem. They’re destroying my deck, my front porch steps, and a wall in front of my house. Those jerks are the reason I didn’t do a brick driveway.
They also eat all of my veggies and herbs, almost all, they never touched the dill for some reason. I didn’t do herbs or any veggies besides tomatoes this year.. I’ve had so many grow, but have only had TWO tomatoes actually make it past the critters. They’re also destroying my yard with holes everywhere.

I have traps out now, as does my neighbor. We’ve caught 6 chipmunks in the past week. Then neighbor takes them to a lake to let them out. I have no idea how many are living here. :(

Yes, I have been spoiled by warmer waters.

Same!! Anything north of Vero Beach is too cold without a wetsuit. I could handle northern waters a lot better when I was a kid, not anymore.

He does. I just wish he was around the language more on a daily basis. Most of the time you can tell that it’s not his first language.
You can always buy movies and play them in Spanish. Sometimes for fun my kids will choose a different language to watch a movie in even if they can't understand it. Coco was the best because the voice actors are the same.

We watched UP in Spanish while in Florida last year 😂😂😂. It was so funny.

One thing I loved about his soccer coach is that he moved here from Mexico a few years ago, and a boy on T’s team just moved here from Mexico this past school year. The boy’s English wasn’t very good, so the coach had to give him most directions in Spanish.. T was always his practice partner before games and practices, he loved speaking Spanish with the boy, and T would speak to his coach in Spanish sometimes as well.
The Mexican dialect is a bit different for us, but T got used to hearing it and understood it better. I think the Spanish thing is one reason that he’s so heart broken over his coach being reassigned.. the Mexican boy isn’t returning either, I emailed his mom when I didn’t see his name on the roster, apparently they aren’t playing with any club this year but hoping he will be back soon.

He listens to primarily Spanish language music daily, and they have Spanish class at school (he enjoys talking to his teacher) but most of the kids at school aren’t as fluent as T is, I’m sure that will change over time...but it’s not the same as having conversations in the home or constantly around you. One more reason that we love visiting Florida. :) Last year on the way to the Port of Miami our Lyft driver spoke Spanish with T the entire hour ride. He loved it!!

I’ll add that a lot of our soccer watching is also in Spanish, we flip back and forth between the Spanish speaking and English speaking.. there’s an announcer from the UK whom we both absolutely crack up at, so he does win most of the time. We watch La Liga so all games are shown on both channels.

I wonder if they dislike mothballs like mice and bats do? It might be worth a shot to scatter some along your deck and steps, they are fairly inexpensive.
