I love Messi,, however, Argentina was a great football club before Messi, and they will be a great football club after Messi.

Personally, I think Argentina and Spain have the best shot of being in the finals.. but we’ll see.

I would love to see England, Ireland and Scotland get close to winning the whole thing one day. England last won in 1966 but I'm biased with those countries.

Don't look now but it's 1-1.

Maybe some sort of "consolation" prize? (Disclaimer/example below: sometimes prize items or services may vary, per the situation)--

How do people get jobs like this? I must be in the wrong profession . . .
My company has flexible hours in general. So my boss is a morning person and gets there early and leaves by 4. I'm not a morning person, so usually, I'm there at 8:30. But if there's a day I need to leave at 4 or 4:30, I can. Right now, we're on summer hours, so I work 8-5:30 Monday-Thursday and then leave at noon on Fridays. It's really nice.

Car repairs stink. Hopefully it won't cost too much. Funny how things start to break down when you get close to a vacation.

Thanks!
It'll be at least 1K like the last 3 each (of 6) injectors. :cyclops:
But, she also has had an aftermarket warranty now for the last few months, and, apparently, it's all covered. But, she has to pay for it first, and they are supposed to reimburse her. :cautious:
Theoretically this could work out slightly in her favor, because she's looking to dump it soon. But, if she keeps the car long enough with the warranty, she's just banking the repair costs ahead of time...!!!!! :hilarious:
Sorry, I hafta' laugh at life...it cracks me up sooo much of the time...!!!!!!! :hilarious::joyfull:
And, yep, I'm gonna' play the HHT card...Honda, Hyundai, Toyota. Forget the rest. I related that to her before she bought it, but, she's an adult and can make her own decisions...especially, since this was only wallet-threatening, and not potentially life-threatening...!!! ;) :)
I'm definitely not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but, as my pop used to say to us back in the day..."Many times, the ol' man isn't as dumb as you think he is." ;)

What a jerk he is, and now you're in a tough spot. I pray you can find a much better job soon with decent people. So sorry you're dealing with this mess. If I might share a tip (for the future), if you want something (vacation, etc.), always put it in writing (an email to the boss). It's also good to tell the boss (you did that), but I've found that bosses have "selective" memory for things like that. I got burned once using verbal communication only.
Sadly, doesn't matter if I put it in writing. Since technically I have no official "contract" between them and me. They can fire me anytime if they wanted. problem is, they do not have a replacement for ALL I DO with me as honest and saving thousands to them.

As for the vacations, We had also traded back and fort emails where I told them about vacations and going to medical reason, so therefore there is a paper trail.

The hilarity is that they claim because I said this trip was part of "a medical break" (which is even more important than normal vacations). They were free to bombard me with work stuff even on weekends where I am not paid to work..

That was one of the top annoyances.

That is ridiculous. Is there a recruiting company you can contact?
I will see, but honestly at this point I'm ready to break free and just try my luck in a more friendly nation like Canada (friendly as in government, since Mexican government only exists to make you feel nice before you vote, then they stab you in the back lol) and have perhaps better rights regarding being deaf.

Hubs complains about a number of changes in the newer cars and he'd take an older car any day--even if it makes him OLD! :p He's saved us a lot of money through the years doing his own mechanics on the car. There are some things that he can't get to though, in the newer ones, and has to take it to a repair shop (where they have a lift, etc.) and let them fix the problem.

Bummer about your daughter's car. :banghead:

Yea, it looks like I might be able to replace the injectors myself after a short search of some YouTube videos, but, with the warranty, she might as well get it done at the shop.
Plus, none of the videos I found were specific to her model year.

Thanks!
And I share those frustrations with your hubs.
Used to be so much easier to do so many of those things with a simple wrench set, socket set, and a floor jack... :cyclops:;):)
