Welp, I guess I'm going to be out of a job.


Confronted my boss about the supposed vacation weeks he promised (which he broke). And now says I m holding him "hostage".

So yeah, I might be giving my adiuh and find my luck somewhere else even if it pays less until I get my bearings and get to my feet.

If anyone who works in IT knows a company that need a remote administrator.. I'm happy to try.

Oh, that sucks. But better to have a safe plane.

Agree ,besides overheating engine is not a casual or simple thing. Could mean oil leak or coolant damage. Which could make the engine explode mid flight.
(the quantas A380 superjumbo engine exploding was caused by an oil leak for example)

I'm sure she was a wonderful mother who loved her children. We all have our quirks, but deep down, most of us are decent people.

I had to chuckle a little about you waiting and watching for her to come home. The reason is it reminded me of my dog--he's very single minded. If one of us is not home, he often sits on the stairs.because he can see out the livingroom window from there, and just "waits" for our return. He always makes a big welcome "scene" when we walk in the door! (P.S.: We need a dog emoji on here as well.)

Yep, Belle and Ranger go bat stuff crazy every time we return home...in their minds, it seems like we're never coming back, until we do...!!!!!!!

Just got off the phone with oldest DD.
With SonILs new job she can be home with our granddaughter when she comes...so happy for them...!!!!!!!
And, youngest DD also got a promotion at the school for next year...!!!!!!!
It's been a great day...!!!!!!!!!!!

Just got out of the hospital a couple of hours ago. Staph infection was the culprit this time. Not fun.

Me too. . One of my cousins is pregnant with her 3rd child right now.. we were together on Memorial Day and talking about Toys R Us/Babies R Us. She does most of her shopping at Buy Buy Baby now.. I’m sure they’ve had a spike in sales from gaining a lot of Babies R Us shoppers.

I came across a birthday card from Geoffrey the other day, put it in one of T’s memory boxes to save. End of an era

Yep, TRU is something even my ol' beeeeehind remembers from way back in the day. But, I remember the place also getting too expensive over the years. You could go to other places for similar enough product for much less...sometimes, the eventual curse of a niche market...how many true "toy stores" are still around...?! Even F. A. O. Schwarz is a long goner...TRU involved, or not.
Mostly, I think kiddos just don't want "toys" anymore.

Car repairs stink. Hopefully it won't cost too much. Funny how things start to break down when you get close to a vacation.

I am on the plane to go in my trip with my friend but we are headed back to the gate because of an overheated engine.

I knew something was up. Glad you are better now. Hospitals are notorious for giving infections even though they can cure them. Prayers for a speedy, and no more surprises recovery.

Your boss sucks. You are entitled to vacation time. Sorry, I know nothing and nobody in IT. Maybe @StarWarsGirl does.

Saw The Incredibles 2 this morning. Finally a Disney film that didn’t have me crying in parts. Now as for the short, well, ummm, it wouldn’t be a trip to see a Disney feature without some tears. I enjoyed the movie by the way. Oh, and the short had the whole theater gasping at one point.
