View attachment 286871We went to DS in the afternoon and were requested to hit the Lego Store. Ds had been eyeing this for awhile. He knew it was just officially released but you could only purchase it then if you were a VIP member, which we were. But for $360 it was a no. We did get him this diner though. He didn’t ask for anything on this trip and we realized that this had been our least expensive trip with the 6 of us. We still had a lot of Disney Gift card money left and used it for the Diner. The dining plan would have cost more than twice what we spent on food. Definitely worth buying the gift cards at Target.

All of your photos are beautiful! Rivers of Light looks amazing! We have not been to the LEGO Store in DS.. I was afraid that I’d never get out.
The Diner looks really neat, I love those sets, but so far we haven’t bought any.. I don’t know where to put them, and I’m scared T would take it apart in 2 days. Do you guys have a dedicated area for display? Does your DS keep them together?
My bucket list includes making it down to F&G. One trip we missed it by 2 or days but everything was still up. I'd love to see it in full swing

Mine too! I’ve never been.
Sympathy like. Why did they even bother?
You guys can't seem to get a break this spring. I feel bad for the kids getting rained out so often. (And I feel bad for the parents, too.)

It was supposed to start at 7. The boys all had their tee shirts and were warming up.. and then the coaches sent them to the parents., A coach came over to tell us they were going to delay until 7:30 to let an oncoming storm pass.

Of course it didn’t rain One Drop between 7-7:30... then, at 7:50-downpour and high winds.
I’m so sad about it.. T was doing great, like really great, I never know which T will show up at these things.. Nervous T (which causes him to make mistakes, and then causes him to get upset and even more distracted/nervous i.e baseball tryouts last year)
.. or ‘I’m Going to Have Fun T’.
Fun T showed up last night, won all but 1 of the 1v1s that I saw.. (until I took shelter in my car after the umbrella almost blew away and I was soaked)
The email said they can’t count any of last night because the rain made it difficult to see the boy’s tryout numbers on their shirts.

So on top of that, he will miss baseball again today, which he’s really upset about..Also, there is no way that I can leave work. :( I hate that I won’t be there!!( 4:15 Start Time, sometimes I think that these sports organizations forget that people actually work.. and the fields are located in Nowheresville.)
I hope he has the same attitude that he had last night!!!

I’m so ready for soccer to be over so we can concentrate on baseball for the next few weeks..and then— A Sports Break until August!!!!

It totally messed up our morning there. We had a fp for EE, Kali, and FOP for after lunch. It was only in the 70's so Kali was off. No one wanted to get wet and be cold. I forgot to mention we saw the new Up bird show. All I can say was the old show was better. The Finding Nemo show was closed as well. Aside from FOP, it was not a great day at AK, although there were lots of animals to see on the safari, including the baby hipp.:)

Oh sorry that morning was messed up!

I’ve never seen the Nemo show. Our favorite thing about AK is all of the street entertainment, so we haven’t watched any shows there.

So what happens when you go on vacation with 4 kids, and aren't as diligent about telling them to wash their hands before they eat after touching loads of handrails? Also no stroller or bag meant their were no sanitary wipes. Well home for a couple of days and first youngest had a fever and now is coughing with no fever, and 2nd youngest had a fever the last 2 days. I hear oldest coughing upstairs now.

:(. Hope everyone gets healthy soon!

Sympathy like. I hope it's just a 24 hour thing. {{HUGS}} from a nice safe distance. BTW we bring a back pack with wipes and such in it and our kids are big enough to lug it. Free trip to Disney doesn't come with a cost;)
We were trying to avoid bag check so we could just go to "guests with no bags". We will have a small sling bag the next time which won't be for a year.:(

The picture I took of the Diner is from his room. He put it together in 2 days, and only because on day 1 I said not to rush it because then the fun of building would be done quick. So it was 2 days. He has them on his standing bookshelf. Those sets he won't take apart anymore. I should have waited on the expensive sets when he was younger. He would build and then take apart. He did that with the Star Wars Y Wing Fighter, the Volkswagon camper van, the R2D2 one. Now he leaves them whole.

That’s why I stopped buying the expensive sets for T... I do appreciate his creativity when he mixes them altogether, but I don’t need to keep spending hundreds of dollars for him to mix and match.

I LOVE the rollercoaster!! Did you find that at a regular LEGO store? I’ve never seen it before, but I try not to go in there too often. I’ve really cut back on buying Legos the past year.

I bet your son would love the Meccano robot, have you seen it? It may even be on clearance at Toys R Us now.
T got the older edition for Christmas, just haven’t found the time to finish it, but he should be able to this summer. If your son enjoys building, he may love the detail of the robot!

Didn’t you just love how they used all the flowerpots to make unique holders for flowers?? I am going to copy a few of their ideas. Gorgeous pictures. Love the monarch butterfly!
Flowerpots to hold flowers? Who'da thunk it! ;) I guess I don't understand that statement unless you were talking about using the cinder-blocks to hold flowers. That is unique.

Here’s the robot that I bought for T-
He’ll be 2ft tall.

Your son is older and would be able to do the XL.. I was scared that it would be too much for T to finish in a reasonable time frame.

The nice thing about these is that it’s impossible for the kids to build in a day, or even a week😂

That coaster was on display in the Disney Springs store. They probably have it at other ones. He wasn't into Meccano sets and thinking about Toys R Us makes me sad. DS said someone offered 800 million for TRUs and they declined.

No
@Cesar R M or @StarWarsGirl we keep getting this pop up on our computer every week and the only way to get rid of it is to restart the computer. There is no x out button. I have to click multiple times on the background screen to get rid of it temporarily.

Hmm...that looks like something that's installed that really shouldn't be there. It doesn't look like a Windows update screen. Is it possible one of your kids downloaded and installed something they shouldn't have?

Is there a particular time when you're seeing that (like when browsing the internet) or does it pop up at random?

When did this start?

The best way I could possibly tell you what the culprit would be is to see a list of programs installed on your PC. If you don't feel comfortable sharing that here, you can message me.

Me too. :(. One of my cousins is pregnant with her 3rd child right now.. we were together on Memorial Day and talking about Toys R Us/Babies R Us. She does most of her shopping at Buy Buy Baby now.. I’m sure they’ve had a spike in sales from gaining a lot of Babies R Us shoppers.

I came across a birthday card from Geoffrey the other day, put it in one of T’s memory boxes to save. End of an era :(
