Cool or not I'd rather be there. What are the temps there today?

Every spring and fall I go from heat to a/c. How often do you get to the parks?
It only got to about 62 Friday (forecast hi was 79). Right now (Saturday) it is 55 (forecast high 71, low 56) and the forecast in the hi 70's for the next 5 days. The problem is that it is cloudy, and drizzle yesterday, and the temps aren't going up.
I haven't been to WDW for 2 years...long story, but I just got "disillusioned" after 8 years of AP. Didn't feel the experience was worth the money or the hassle anymore. I still want to go, but not happy with the parks right now. Maybe in a year or two, I'll start going again. So instead of Disney, this year we're taking about 6 weeks and doing the "Grand Tour" of the west....Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, etc.

Ohh K! Perhaps I need to be a little more detailed! What in the pluperfect hell is spo2 and PFT. Those are the things that I am totally unable to define. So if you would explain those to things I will better understand. I know that spo2 has something to do with oxygen because of the o2 ending, but, what remains a mystery.

My COPD is a recent discovery and not really tested except to define the one day of severe symptoms that I had. No other testing or need has arisen. My maintenance instructions have been 2 shots of albuterol in the morning and two in the evening and it has kept everything pretty much stable since then. I also have the added fun of Sleep Apnea and sometimes that can affect things, I am told.

BTW, you didn't really scare me, but, as part of my winning personality I like to make people feel guilty. Got it from my Mother.:joyfull:
Spo2 is the doohickey they put on your finger and that number is shown on a monitor and is your oxygen saturation. It will determine if they put you on oxygen. People with copd do not want the number on the monitor too high, generally keep it no higher than 92, because it will shut off their hypoxic drive which is in your brain and says, "hey fella, breathe!"

PFT is a Pulmonary function test and that will diagnose if you truly have copd. It is a series if breathing tests done in a lab that gives your lung volumes. The test to truly diagnose asthma is called a spirometry. Doctors love to diagnose patients in the ER and they do the patient a disservice because then the insurance company labels you with a disease that you might not have. Also these tests help determine appropriate treatment.

My DD had a teacher for 2 years in high school for AP Calc 2 and Statistics that was amazing. She wanted them to succeed. DD took AP World History the summer before her freshman year of High School, funny how that varies from state to state.- That man was pure evil. She would work easily 6 hours a day on that one and only class. Twice she missed Swim Meets at the 11th hour cause of Homework load. Her Summer Club Coach was also her high school coach so he knew how evil the twit was and cut her lots of slack.

My DD looking back at the teachers attitudes and then the courses she had to retake at her University (cause they would not take AP credits in your Major or Minor) the work load was substantially less in college over high school and better content in college. If she had to do it over again the only AP courses she would have taken in High School would have been her Math and Statistic classes cause they were the reason she scored so high in math and statistics on her ACT and SATs.
I came in with AP World history, Spanish, English Lit, Macro Economics, and Micro Economics. I didn't do any math or science. They changed the Statistics exam and made it much harder. For the math and science majors, they make you retake certain AP credits, but they really don't care for business majors.

I still say it was worth it. For one, I'm a junior now instead of being a sophomore, and I got 15 credits, meaning I could graduate a semester early. That would be nice. I also think they really prepared me and that it factored in to my school's decision to give me a massive scholarship (otherwise, I'd never be able to afford to go there).

Pulmicort is used twice a day when as albuterol can be used every two hours if needed.
I use albuterol and pulmicort every four hours for years if my asthma's bad. I know it's not typical, but my allergist okayed it, and why change what works? Albuterol just doesn't seem to cut it for me unfortunately. And I'm only allowed to use albuterol every 3-4 hours anyway, not every 2. Every 2, you have to be in the hospital, according to my doctor.

My goodness, that's a lot to digest. If you wanted to go for your Master's, would you do that right after you finish up your regular college courses, or would you go out and work for a year or two, and then resume your Master's either full-time, or part-time, while still working? Either way, you're very ambitious. :)
My school has a BS to MS program, but I think by the time I'm done, I'm going to be burned out by the end of senior year. I think that I'll probably go work for a while and then come back part time and work on my masters. I think that work experience is good, especially for a business major, and I think working on financial stability is a good thing.
