You watch the Food Channel to see him admit it!

Don't they look like brothers? Maybe long lost brothers but nonetheless.

Oh, how bizarre the likeness is !!!

Sometimes I think about starting my master's...and then I wonder if I've gone crazy.

AP teachers could be the worst. AP Spanish and World History were definitely the worst. I think my AP Spanish teacher from Spanish 6 traumatized me from Spanish, because I'm always expecting a pop quiz or something really hard in 300-level Spanish...and then it never comes. Still a lot of work. But then the other day, I went on my old old laptop (the one that didn't have a failed hard drive) and tracked down a list of writing phrases from Spanish 6 to help me write a paper...so I guess I owe that teacher. Also since I did get a 4 on the AP. And since I could skip to Spanish Comp 2 and skip Spanish Comp 1 thanks to the AP score.

And then there was AP World History. Note: high school sophomores should never take AP World History. They need to start out with another AP class because that class is ridiculous. That teacher was a work-load monster. We had so much work in that class. The history/science class I took last semester was not that much work. Interestingly, both she and Spanish teacher are AP graders, so I guess they put that much more pressure on us to succeed (even though it did give us an advantage on the test having teachers with that knowledge.) I, thankfully, got a 4 on that exam, even though my father was convinced I would get a 2 or 3 on it after getting a C one quarter in the class.

AP English was the exception. My Junior year, I had an English teacher who assigned a lot of work (though not as much as World HIstory), gave us a lot of AP practice, and made us work very hard. That was the only exam I did not get a 4 or 5 on. My senior year, the teacher barely made us work, barely gave us any practice, I mean, we barely did anything. What did I get on the AP Literature exam that year? A four.:banghead: I credit my sophomore year English teacher (who was also my Journalism teacher and wrote all of my letters of recommendation) for that because I learned nothing in Senior year English.

The AP class that I liked the most, and perhaps benefited the most from, was AP Economics. That prepared me most for what I would see in business classes. In accounting last semester, there was something he was showing us, and I though, "Oh, this is a repeat from Econ" and had the problem done within three minutes...then spent the next 10 minutes explaining it. The teacher, honestly, wasn't that good, but thankfully, a second teacher taught that class, and I went to his review sessions. I studied hard, read the book, practiced the graphs, and worked my behind off. I got a 4 on Macro and a 5 on Micro. As I was sitting there taking the micro exam, I kept thinking, "Um, this is too easy; I better get a 5 on this." Fortunately, I did.:D

I must say, all of those AP classes did prepare me for college. The 15 credits I got from them didn't hurt either. I just think it's important to not take too many of them and burn yourself out. I think I probably benefited more from taking fewer AP classes and not burning out as much than my classmates who took AP this and AP that and just did nothing but study all of the time.

But no, I don't miss high school. Not one bit. Much as I sometimes curse out college, I don't miss high school at all.

My goodness, that's a lot to digest. If you wanted to go for your Master's, would you do that right after you finish up your regular college courses, or would you go out and work for a year or two, and then resume your Master's either full-time, or part-time, while still working? Either way, you're very ambitious. :)

No, I just want a quiet break at home, lots of sleep. A lot of kids go away from break, but I was just away twice over winter break and I'll be away four weeks over the summer, so I really just want to rest, catch up on homework, sleep...

Actually, I have no idea what I'm going to do with myself and will probably drive my mother crazy by the end of the week. It's just kind of like, "Whoops, it's here," and I haven't a clue what I want to do with all that free time. Maybe go ice skating one day. That's about all I have planned so far. Depends on which friends are free and feel like doing stuff.

There's nothing wrong about relaxing and recharging your energy on your week off. Enjoy!

Oh, that's awful, if true. I absolutely love the Behind the Seeds tour (I think I've done it maybe 5 times over the years). One of the fun things you get to do is throw fish food in the tank and watch the fishies get excited and swim toward it. They make big splashes in the water tank! I hope the fishes are o.k. When/where did you hear about dead fish? :(

It must of been on this forum or two other unofficial websites I frequent. Yeah I wasn't sure if it was bad or just the circle of life.

This got quoted weird.

My new job might not let me go on vacation to Disney. They just said it would be tough. I don't really care because I was training myself not to get excited about Disney plus it's a job that I get experience from.

But it would be nice to have vacation time. I only get it if I'm there more than one year which I would do a trip to England (vacation buddy anyone? lol). But still more benefits than before. Plus, I hope not to be there for that long but you never know.

I'm hoping you get to do both WDW and England.

What is going on with my quoting weird on this post?

I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you. When you have COPD you do not want the spo2 to be too high because it will shut off the area in you brain that tells you to breathe essentially. If you have copd, the only way to know is with a PFT, you want to be followed by a pulmonologist so they can teach you these things. Your treatment would differ from an asthmatic.
Ohh K! Perhaps I need to be a little more detailed! What in the pluperfect hell is spo2 and PFT. Those are the things that I am totally unable to define. So if you would explain those to things I will better understand. I know that spo2 has something to do with oxygen because of the o2 ending, but, what remains a mystery.

My COPD is a recent discovery and not really tested except to define the one day of severe symptoms that I had. No other testing or need has arisen. My maintenance instructions have been 2 shots of albuterol in the morning and two in the evening and it has kept everything pretty much stable since then. I also have the added fun of Sleep Apnea and sometimes that can affect things, I am told.

BTW, you didn't really scare me, but, as part of my winning personality I like to make people feel guilty. Got it from my Mother.:joyfull:

I concur. I don't think I've ever used any recipes or techniques from the Food Channel, and I know I should. But, similar to yourself, I think I like watching chefs create their masterpieces, because somehow it relaxes me to watch. So I don't watch those shows for a "how to cook" reason; I watch for entertainment. :)
You also don't have a crew of minions standing by to clean up after you. That can make a big difference when measuring the pleasure of cooking.
