And the Darwinism Award of the week goes to this family.
I cannot believe that. How stupid can people be?
And the Darwinism Award of the week goes to this family.
I wouldn't have done it, were it me. But I think the one was actually plugged in when there was no one at the table. Like, the people plugged it in as another family left, because it was already plugged in when we sat down. Our table was in a back corner and there was a kind of shelf behind our seats. So they had their phone on that little shelf and the outlet was back there in the corner. So then when the family was done eating and wanted to leave, they came to get their phone, then someone else saw and came to plug their phone in. I thought it was pretty rude...I never would have dared to do that. If you want to charge your phone, ask to be seated at a table next to an outlet. But I've noticed that normal common courtesy is not always observed at Disney...many people have posted in their trip reports that people have just come up to their tables and sat down in counter service venues, without asking if the seats were taken or anything. I watched someone change their baby's diaper on a table at Casey's corner in Disneyland Paris. I've had people cut in front of us in lines because we couldn't walk as fast (I still sometimes have problems with my hip). Or run into people with a stroller. Normal rules don't seem to apply at Disney. And the only thing I could have done would have been to unplug their phone and hand it to the CM as a lost and found item. I think in hindsight, that's probably what we should have done. But the people probably would have still disturbed our meal when they came looking for the phone, and who knows what altercation that might start. If cast members don't prohibit it, people will do it.That was really rude of people to plug their phones in by another table. There were charging stations then. How inconsiderate to interrupt someone else’s dinner. That actually should not be permitted.
Do you know if organic eggs are part of the recall? It doesn't say. I buy Nellie's organic, but will buy the Walmart organic if I cannot find them.ATTENTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Egg recall https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/s...illnesses-reported/ar-AAx9rYM?ocid=spartanntp
Kenmore was the best. Think my dad still has our dryer from 1984.When first married, we bought a used mobile home sitting in a lot in a park. It had a washing machine that was at least 10 years old then. When we bought our first house we brought it with us and added a used dryer. We lived in that house for over 20 years and we were still using it, trouble free when we sold the house. That was back in the days of the king of appliances, Sears Kenmore, was still king. So it survived all those years of the two of us plus two babies and was still going strong. Man, how I wish we could buy quality like that now.
I don't remember wearing seat belts in the back seat myself as a kid. Dh said that he and his little sister would stand up on the back seat of their dad's station wagon and pretend to surf. I remember sleeping flat out on the back seat. When it came though to going down a steep hill with my bike, I am not afraid to admit I was a chicken.Every chance we got as kids we made ramps. Bikes were boring without ramps to jump to heights never before experienced by man (or child). With the world the way it is today, afraid of everything, the current generation of kids will never be able to say "We survived childhood".
We did that, drank out of hoses, rode in cars with no seat belts, slept on the rear window shelf of the car, no helmet for bikes, played outside until dark, rode in the back of pickups and so on. We are the original survivors. Got a few bumps and scrapes along the way, but, we have some really good stories to tell our grandchildren. Unfortunately, their parents don't let us tell them (as far as they know).
Better deal at Target then.
Hooray for T! Guess he got his confidence back. Good news.Game 1- we won!!
T had 2 goals and 3 assists. He said “I feel like Ronaldo, bring on the next game, we’re winnin’ this tourney. Trophy here I come!”
We’re on a Frisch’s break now before game 2. View attachment 283486View attachment 283487
I did find out that there is a goat parade/Goat fest next month. I'm mentioning this seasonal Door County Businesses are now opening based on what I read online. The catch is the Goat Cam for Al Johnson's Swedish Restaurant doesn't have goats top of their roof till later this month.
Here is what I'm referring to in terms of the Goat parade/Goat Fest:
Ok, last soccer post.. for @MySmallWorldof4 ..

Well, there are laws about working conditions, but they are very vague. That being said, they are better about paying for work-related health issues. Like...being a warehouse where we ship out orders, we have a lot of boxes, and those boxes come in flattened stacks bound with plastic ties. Occassionally, there will be a loose tie that someone slides off rather than cutting it. This gal was walking through the returns processing area, carrying a box. She didn't see the plastic tie on the floor, she tripped and fell straight forward, and sprained a rib. She went to the doctor and everything was taken care of, no questions asked, no new rules about cutting the plastic ties, or about making sure they are not on the floor. In the US, I worked as a custodian one summer. I was trained to use this one cleaner for the sinks as it got rid of the hard water stains. So I was cleaning a sink, it splashed back and got in my eye. I immediately flushed it and called for help, and I was taken to the hospital where they flusehd it more, etc. When I got back the next day, I was called in to fill out an incident report and there were all sorts of questions about why I was using this cleaner for the sink as it was a toilet cleaner, why I wasn't wearing protective eye wear (which was never given to me), because apparently if you aren't using the cleaners as directed, insurance won't cover it, and you are liable for it. I don't remember how they handled it, but I didn't have to pay because I had been trained to use that cleaner. There would be no question here...it happens at work, work pays for it. There's so much stuff that happens that's unsafe...people stacking empty trays behind the rows of shelves, where you would trip over them if you were trying to exit during a fire, stuff on the floor to trip over or slip on...someone ran into me with a cart Wednesday evening. I only have a bruise, but you can't see people from in between the shelf rows, and I stepped out just at the same time as the kid started to push his cart forward. He didn't see me, I didn't see him. Someone else thrashed her heel when she was pulling a cart and had to stop and the cart didn't stop with her. Someone broke their foot when a cart rolled on top of it. Someone fell off a ladder and broke her leg trying to get something from the hanger section. Someone stood up from the break table and the table was pushed too far to one side and as he stood up, he hit his head on the light fixture, which has prisms hanging from it and one broke along with the lightbulb and he cut his had and had to get the glass removed and see if he needed stitches. As far as I know, there have been no issues with getting treated. So on the one hand, the laws aren't as strict. On the other hand, it's easier to get treated.Sympathy like for your working conditions. Guess they don’t have someting like OSHA there?
I was thinking cupcakes, but I can see tea cups. And, one more bit of random silliness...
I drive by this house to and from the office every day, and the shrubs in front of the garage have always been trimmed this way...

...and remind me of the tea cups at DLR and WDW...!!!!!
Ha, yeah, me too. I just posted basically the same thing and then read what you wrote.Looks like a cute house. I can see how they remind you of teacups, before I read that I thought they looked like cupcakes.
Very nice. Do you approve of the design?Painting day went great at DD and SonILs new home, but, we're divin' back in next weekend for more a bit more. They're wanting to get the place ready for a nice housewarming party. They still have some time left on their lease in the old place, so they have some time to get things just the way they want them.
They are so excited though, as we are for them...!!!!!!!
Anyway, a few pics of their new place...!!!

Thank you and same to your DWifey and your dd.And, before I forget, the happiest of Mothers Days to all of you wonderful moms out there...!!!!!!!!!!!
My guess is the one by the garage is in order to hide it. Garages facing the street aren't ideal. I think having an entrance for the garage on the side of the house is better. It takes away from the prettiness of the house if the garage is road facing. Like in this house they have a garage on the side, and a front facing one. They need to camouflage the front facing one I believe.Nice little cottage. The part I don't quite understand is related to the short "walls" (I don't know what to call them) such as the one near the front house entrance (to the right) and another one that I think is probably connected to the garage. I'm not an architect, and just trying to figure out what the purpose is for both of those.
The like is that the injuries are handled well. Stay safe.Well, there are laws about working conditions, but they are very vague.
