And, one more bit of random silliness...
I drive by this house to and from the office every day, and the shrubs in front of the garage have always been trimmed this way...

...and remind me of the tea cups at DLR and WDW...!!!!! :hilarious:

Looks like a cute house. I can see how they remind you of teacups, before I read that I thought they looked like cupcakes.

Painting day went great at DD and SonILs new home, but, we're divin' back in next weekend for more a bit more. They're wanting to get the place ready for a nice housewarming party. They still have some time left on their lease in the old place, so they have some time to get things just the way they want them.
They are so excited though, as we are for them...!!!!!!! :joyfull:
Anyway, a few pics of their new place...!!! :)

Cool!
Funny thing about that house...
It was designed by one of the architects at the first firm I started working for 3 months before I graduated HS. I was hand rendering brochures in ink for them in the evenings after school, and then they asked me to stay on as a full time draftsman when I graduated HS that May.
Wow! That was a looooooong time ago...!!!!!!! :hilarious:

Oh. I thought you were talking about the old fashioned wall or window units that you can pick up at a regular appliance place. Yeah, those are expensive. We have a home warranty and keep it specifically if the central air/heating ever goes. I don’t want to shell out 10k.

We had to replace our central air and heating unit about 12 years ago to the tune of around 5k. Don't really want to think about what it would cost now.
And, we've been runnin' our A/C pretty regularly for the last several weeks.
Gettin' pretty warm down here again.

Thanks! He was totally fine this morning. Wants to show his friends the huge bandaids.lol.
We didn’t have to sign a contract about other activities, his soccer is strict, but something like that would be a deal breaker for us!

I’m fairly good about remaining calm during that kind of stuff, on the exterior at least, I know what to check for on broken bones or sprains, that was my main concern after realizing the car wasn’t involved. So besides running outside in my bathrobe :hilarious: I didn’t visibly freak out, but I was petrified for a second, it was weird to hear the scream then nothing. He said he didn’t want to cry in front of the man, and that if he moved then he knew he would cry. I really think it’s the blood and the torn skin that made him freak out like that. The kid can get hit by a baseball pitch, in the face with a soccer ball, trip on the field- and doesn’t phase him. But this was like I was pouring alcohol on his wounds- sobbing and yelling.

All’s well that ends well. I’m sure it won’t be the last time he gets all scraped up.

Nope. And, as some of us older folks have posted before...! ;)

Also, soccer related...
I was playing my usual middle defensive position in HS and made a slide tackle on an opponent, getting the ball away from him with no foul. Our guys got the ball and took it down field to score a tying goal!
We actually ended up losing the game when they scored a goal in the last 5 minutes.
It was only then that I really took a look at the extent of my slide tackle injury...I had a raspberry (very deep scrape) the was about 3 inches wide by 7 inches long on the top left side of my left calf. No real problem at the time.
I bandaged it up, but, it just kept oozing, and I had to constantly change dressings. The game was on a Saturday and I was back at school Monday, of course. It was fine all that day, for the most part. But, when I got home that Monday afternoon, I realized how much had oozed through the dressing into my tube sock...insane pain peeling the sock off all of that... :in pain: !!!!!!! :joyfull: :hilarious: :in pain: :hilarious:

Good times...!!!!!
 ;)

Nice little cottage. :p The part I don't quite understand is related to the short "walls" (I don't know what to call them) such as the one near the front house entrance (to the right) and another one that I think is probably connected to the garage. I'm not an architect, and just trying to figure out what the purpose is for both of those.

Now that is what I call a gorgeous house. Wow. :inlove:

(The bushes are funny though--like muffin tops. ;) I think if the tops were not wider than the rest of the bush, it would look so much better.)
