They're diaper cakes :hilarious::hilarious:

Were you looking for a picture of a cake? It's a towel cake or diaper cake....for like, a bridal shower or baby shower.

Ha! I didn't have a clue, but it's been many years since I attended either a bridal or baby shower, for someone. Guess this must be something new then in cakes! :D (I still kinda like denture cake though. :p )

Yikes, new warning of the Volcanic activity in hawaii. Now affects the 2 main volcanos of Mauna Loa and Kilauea.
Seems the lava level inside the caldera is lowering at very fast speed, might reach water deposits.. which in turn can lead to explosive steam events.

This is way out of control. My heart goes out to those people living there. I don't ever recall anything quite as dramatic and for such a length of time, as this recent activity on big island.

I was looking to buy Disney gift cards from Target. Did you know that Target now sells park passes??? Saw it in the app!! I wonder if you get the 5% if you use your Target card. That would be more than getting 2% on Disney Visa. Also @ajrwdwgirl , if I want to have gift cards placed on my account do I just hand them in during check-in? I want the gift cards used before the credit card gets charged.

You probably know as well that you can buy them at an AAA office if you are a member. They have some really goo discounts.

@MySmallWorldof4 , we’re losing another kid to homeschooling next year. Good buddy of T’s. He’s sad about it. Then said “I’m like the ONLY KID who ISN’T HOMESCHOOLED!”

“T, you realize that you go to an entire school full of kids who aren’t homeschooled, right?”

“Well, yeah ok.. but I think homeschool sounds like more fun.”

“Sorry bud, you’re out.”
Well.... If you are able to work from home, you could enroll him in a cyber school. I think Calvert is Catholic. Just saying. ;);)

Ha ha! 4 boys in our grade have made the switch now, and their siblings in higher grades. But the boys still made Reconciliation and First Communion with the class this year, and they still play on our sports teams. The families must have something worked out with school for that stuff.

Chances of me working full time from home- 0%

Wait, I missed @MinnieM123 ’s original post. I can get discounted Disney tickets thru AAA?

Yes, check out their web site. They will give you the plastic card when you buy your passes, and if you're a fan of the wrist band (I'm not), you can easily buy one of those down at WDW. But even adding on the cost of say $15 for a wrist band (upgrade, so to speak), you still don't spend as much for the price of the park tickets. I think it's around a $50 or more savings if you buy a 5-day, park hopper pass. It's a good deal; again, you need to be an AAA member.

No, they don't sell Disney gift cards--I was referring to just the park passes only, which have a good discount.
I might have missed parts of this, but, are you talking about AAA. I bought a lot of my discounted park tickets from there a few years ago, but, then I thought that Disney cut a lot of their ties with AAA. Are they still selling those discounts?

EDIT: you were posting the answer at the same time I was asking it. Never mind!

No problem! It's always good to share ANY sort of information about discounts with friends!

Welcome! (A number of people join AAA just for the various discounts--they have all kinds of discounts, not just park tickets.) If I go to a hotel for example, I always check to see if there is a AAA discounted rate. Sometimes that works out really well; other times it's just the luck of the draw--and the hotel might be running a special that's not AAA, which may be better. So I check often on rates. But I gotta say, I make out very well each year being a member.
