One of my favorite books that I had to read either in 8th or 9th grade was “All Quiet on the Western Front”. Couldn’t put it down. I pretty much hated most books forced upon us also. I hated John Steinbeck books the most, and those seemed quite favored. Since my kids didn’t like Huck Finn I really didn’t want to force it on them. I started reading it and understood. It would have been painful for us all.
Just wondering, have you tried to read Steinbeck lately? East of Eden is one of my favorites. I find some authors or books that I didn't like, are now some of the books I like the best.

James recently got through the Stephen King collection:hungover::hungover::hungover::hungover::hungover:
My youngest daughter had about a 10 year run with a Stephen King obsession. We called it her black period. She didn't wear black or anything, but, she was in a deep funk for a lot of that time. She even bought this big painting at an auction that was untitled, but, had to be a huge haunted house, dark and gloomy. She hasn't shed that completely yet, now in her 40's the recent movie she went to was "It".

Supposed to be 80 degrees on Saturday.

Hershey Park? :D
That is much warmer than it is going to be where I live on Saturday. It is only go to be a high of 38 degrees and is going to rain with 27 mile per hour winds. That is nothing compare to Sunday. It is going to 35 degrees out as a high, but having a combination of rain and snow with 25 mile per hour winds.

The good news is the city I live in has an indoor game convention this weekend with it taking up 130 thousand square feet that takes up two floors.

I think the rain wouldn't affect it for Saturday although I question Friday's weather being good for the convention. There is a weather prediction of a thunderstorms for Friday and would be a problem since you are dealing with a bunch stuff in that convention running on electricity.

The convention caters to people of different ages including those who remember the 1970s or 1980s arcade or game console gaming. The convention is going to be packed since it is not going be a great weekend weather wise and it usually brings at least 10, 000 people over for a weekend.

This convention has over 250 pinball machines, 4 arcade games rooms including classic arcade games, Time Machine Delorean, over 50 VIPS including a former Disney Animator, table top gaming, card trade gaming aka stuff like Magic the gathering/ pokemon, crane games, cosplay, Tournaments, air hockey, unreleased arcade games, retro gaming, modern video games, kiddie rides, podcasts, new games by indie game developers for modern games, new Nintendo games for old Nintendo systems , 60 thousand square feet catered to vendors selling non food stuff. and 2 food cafeterias.

The Tournaments are for cosplay, arcade games, pinball games, and game console games including a female game playing pinball tournament and a kid playing pinball tournament.

There also is a computer and classic gaming Museum. The classic game Museum has over 100 different video game consoles starting with Pong through the PS4 or the Nintendo Nintendo Switch and you are allow to play games on them for free.

I read there are going to be dozens of Computers in computer Museum has such as early Apple Computers, Commodore brand computers, and Tandy computers as examples.
