Amateurs. We have 2 sandwich shops within 20ft of each other, a Costa coffee 100 yards one way from them , and a greasy spoon cafe and a posh cafe 100yards the other way.

Oh boy, loves me a greasy spoon! :joyfull: Those aren't easy to find nowadays. (Too many chains, too many "healthy" options, they're trying to get us to believe we'd like. Gaackk) :depressed:

Used to be plenty of greasy spoons around, and you could always get your 5-napkin, greaseburger with greasy fries, for short money. YUM! :hungry:

That airport is pretty big. I cant imagine how huge will it be once the expansion takes place.

Bigger than Forth Worth's?
or Houston's?

I'm not really up on all major U.S. airport sizes, but I do know that O'Hare is large and very, very busy. I think I only went through there once years ago (connecting flight--maybe to Vegas, at the time), and I recall that we were # 13 in line for take-off! :hilarious: (Yes, it was a little congested that day!)

Is there any particular planning involved with Disneyland? Like, if my friend, who hates planning, is thinking of taking her two kids to Disneyland for a day in October when they're in town for a wedding, is there anything aside from checking on Halloween Party dates she'd need to do in advance?

That would be a good question to ask @ajrwdwgirl .

Yes, @ajrwdwgirl would be a great source for information on Disneyland. (Even check out some of her previous TRs.)

Also, I might suggest to @dryerlintfan , to check out the separate Disneyworld forum here on WDWMagic. I'll bet you could pick up all kinds of interesting tidbits there. :)

That is my least favorite airport in the US. MIA a close second.. but O’Hare is THE WORST!!

Recently our Fuddruckers changed its menu. They offered quesadillas on their menu that you could customize at the topping bar. It was really cheap as well. It was under $6 when you just got a cheese and it was huge. Littlest dd and I would share. Anyway one day back late last fall it was gone. All I had to choose from was a grilled cheese or a veggie burger, and the veggie burgers are the frozen kind that I don't really like. Well we hadn't been in in 4 months so we went the other day cause the kids were begging. We bumped into one of the workers we knew (because we had been regulars). She asked what happened to us and we explained that since the quesadilla was gone, we just didn't have an urge to go as much. She said that she used to eat them and a lot of people came in to eat them as well. She said it was corporates decision. They are based in TX. Well you would think that a quesadilla would be a good thing in TX. Apparently they didn't sell well in TX, so they decided to remove it. She said they sold pretty well up here in the Northeast. She swears they lost a lot of customers because the quesadilla and the baked beans were removed.

That's crazy! Regional differences rule the cash register. Years ago I worked in the hotel industry, and our food and beverage directors at our hotels, were always tweaking menus to local preferences. Believe me, there was a wide range of various preference, depending upon where you were in the U.S., or outside the U.S.

Sure, but the question is can I even use it? We are planning to go to the beach. It is a more relaxing vacation than Disney for dh. HS will be packed with everyone wanting to go to TS land. Our AP's expire before then and I wasn't sure if we were going to renew. I was thinking of skipping next Flower and Garden and going after SW land opens. Of course it will be nuts then as well. In any case 49 days until we leave.:)

Just curious -- are the pin codes transferable? If you couldn't use it, could you maybe give it to another family that might be going during the dates specified? I know nothing about pin codes, and don't know if they are tied exactly to the person's name/address, etc.

@donaldtoo , you have your regular half day Friday coming up. We might also get out early tomorrow afternoon by 2 or 3, due to Good Friday. Don't know what's up with my boss these days--could be crackin up--suggested we all have a nice long Easter weekend. (Not everyone in our group is religious, but they all supported the gesture of getting out early tomorrow!) :hilarious:

Not transferrable. It is tied to your last name and zip code. Dh actually offered to go there instead of the beach. The hotel would be cheaper, but we would have to purchase tickets which is the expensive part.
