Never tried Firehouse. When Jersey Mike’s opens there will be 3 sandwich shops in probably a 1/4 mile radius. Don’t know who on the planning board thought this was a good idea.
Amateurs. We have 2 sandwich shops within 20ft of each other, a Costa coffee 100 yards one way from them , and a greasy spoon cafe and a posh cafe 100yards the other way.

I like Jersey Mike's better than Subway. @SteveBrickNJ is the original Jersey Mike's still in Point Pleasant? We used to get sandwiches there when we lived nearby. I can't believe how it has grown and franchised all over. They are actually opening one here where I live in the next few months.
They have two locations in Pt. Pleasant
1)Bridge Ave
&
2)Richmond Ave (Route 35)

Subway? I'm the first to admit Subway is great, I spent a lot of college money there, but Disney's food quality is way better. And of course, food will be pricier in any park, not just Disney. You can get Subway in Hershey Park, but it costs more like $7 for a 6 inch sub and sandwich.

Observation here: it seems like lately you have nothing good to say about what Disney is doing. It's fine if you no longer want to go, but must you be a Debbie downer for the rest of us who still do go? Yes it's not perfect, but we still enjoy it and can enjoy reading about sandwiches without moaning about the prices.

Counter-observation here:...
First off, others here on this thread "Debbie Downer" moan about all kinds of stuff they don't like about Disney lately, and in the past. Why you chose to single me out for my particular "moaning", I have no clue. Do I call you a "Debbie Upper", "Pixie Duster", etc....?
Secondly, I NEVER said anything about no longer wanting to go to Disney, and have made many posts about my love of so many things Disney. As a matter of fact, I just recently talked about taking our future grandchild.
It's just not on our agenda for the near future.
And, TDWC, IMHO, and in many others opinions here on this thread, is indeed making bad decisions.
I don't use it, as I'm just simply capable of ignoring people, but, we do have an ignore feature here.
Please feel free to use it in my case.
I won't lose a nanoseconds sleep over it.
Good day.

I used to go when I was in college all the time because it was cheap and I could walk there. I don't think I've been there since I started working. Especially not when we have a cafeteria here with better food that costs the same.

You do tend to go after one of my friends on here every time that person brings up something about Disney, or life in general, which I have a real problem with.

I am well aware of the ignore feature. No need to talk down to me about it. I choose not to use it in your case, or any other regular participants of this thread.

That is your problem, indeed. I blow past so much stuff I could comment on here about Disney and life in general, it's not even funny. And, I and your friend have had many good interactions here, and at the old site, over the years, about Disney and life in general.
I did not go after your friend, I simply asked a question about the size of a sandwich and she gave me an answer to ask the blogger about it. I was fine with that.
And, the second paragraph of your original post wasn't talking "downer" to me...?
Fully aware that you know about the ignore feature, I simply made a suggestion that you may want to use it in my case. I don't use it either...your choice.

Workers are their most valuable assets. Wish they would accommodate workers as carefully as they accommodate their guests.
I think a lot of people would want that as well.
But Cruise ships definitively lean for the lowest denominator in offerings to workers. I'm still pretty sure that the perks of having more than a few stripes (officers) are obviously way higher. But these positions are not usually available for everyday workers who just joined or foreigners.

*edit*

Just to clarify, almost all the jobs are moving to the Wall Street method of cutting costs.
Which affect almost always to the employee (overworked, underpaid and with less benefits).

Maybe they wanted to flood the area and drive competition away.

There are stores who do that, infect every corner like cancer so nothing else has a chance of survive.
Thus then control the prices.

Fine examples in my country: OXXO and SANBORN's

I think Starbucks is a fine example in some towns in the USA.
Where theres starbucks every corner.

Never heard of them, what is special about this brand?

Only "name" brand of sandwiches that was overhyped in my case.. was Primanti's bros.
Wasnt a fan, they are just oversized sandwiches.

I ask because I'd love to try variety when I'm out.
I still haven't tested most inpark restaurants.

I'm eyeing Germany and Italy on my next trip (EPCOT)
